Anonymous, 18 Nov 2022Nope they don't, no update for A52s yetI'm not saying it has the update, thing is in multiple articles they mention A series like only A52, A52 5G, A53, A73, A33 existed, ignoring A52s existence, just like Samsung did when they launched A53, they wiped everything about A52s which is a superior device to promote crap A53.

Tbh Chinese roms are so full of features as long as I get security patches for a few years I'm good even with Android 9.

But Xiaomi's the worst in Chinese brands.

For a whole year on Android 11 on my X3 NFC, Bluetooth AAC codec didn't work and I was very active and vocal in sending feedback / logs.

Dual Space broke after a few updates and when using dual WhatsApp, the chat data is overwritten between two apps and corrupts

They haven't decided on HRR management yet. It worked in A10 with severe frame drop issues (60hz phones were better), in A11 they fixed the refresh rate to 60 or 120 but still animations and scrolling was bad. In A12 they fixed animations but framesdrop is still there when using floating apps.

Oppo A5 2020 has all these features too and all work fine from Android 9 to Android 11. but it's 60hz UI is still smoother. AAC broke on it when updated from A9 to A10, fixed within a month after just 1 feedback and log submission.

Oppo had A11 months before X3 NFC and almost a year before Poco M3.

Yes there are some region specific devices by BBK that don't receive timely software updates but the devices that go global are better than Xiaomi. Even infinix has gotten ahead of xiaomi nowadays.

It'll be summer/fall NEXT YEAR that phones running Android 12 will receive Android 13. Xiaomi always had pretty good hardware specs, if they only sped up the damn updates a bit, that would be great.

Which is why I was so into Apple's ecosystem because of excellent updates and I'm seriously thinking of going with Galaxy S23 next year if Samsung won't screw something up big time. Pixel 7 Pro was a bit of a let down for me and it's just a bit too pricey for what it is, first party updates or not.
