Its almost impossible to fight the Chinese. Imagine there are two buyers for your Soc. One is ready to buy 10 million in one go, and another one 100,000 at the most that too in instalments over an year. Obviously that 10 million guy will get components cheaper and with priority.
Also the same with advertisements and preinstalled app revenue.
Unlike there is Japan like patriotic public, there is zero possibility of sucess against apple, Samsung and the Chinese.

          I have 2 agendas here..
First, i don't care much for cameras in smartphones as now a days it is being difficult to differentiate if we are buying a phone with a camera option OR a camera with calling and other facilities. Therefore, i keep my interest on design, battery life, performance & heat management of the phone.
Second, when LAVA already is a dominant company in feature phone market, why don't they provide a better clamshell flip phone with KaiOs. The current one is NOT appealing at all to anyone. I for one will buy it even if it's INR 15K.

these smartphones are Chinese supplier made and Lava logo punched at the back...that's all... not real #madeinindia ..check out these videos

I'm more of a quality seeker, one consumer who from the Nokia days was more into music and camera, rather than apps and games.
For me, LG G8x which I'm using is doing great. Next phone which I target might be a Sony Xperia 5 series.

Lava is not a brand I took very seriously, but I like the idea of the brand expanding and bringing new concepts to the table. Plus the Make in India pride...
I hope they make ready a Quad DAC based music flagship in the next 10 years, I might consider them.

Two years ago, when Lava and Micromax both came back, I supported Micromax.
I should have supported Lava. It is a good brand. They actually support their phones in regards to software update and after sales service.
Micromax is crap. Also, I'm buying a lava phone next for office as it comes with near stock Android without much bloat and with call recording.

Mr Singh - thanks for update.
Too scary to believe things will change.
You yourself have said that LAVA is known to forget after sale.
Proof is - you are talking of future - when you have not corrected your mistakes of past - like no software update (free / paid) for android 6.0 marshmallow on 4G handset.
Please rectify your existing mistakes - so we can believe for future, or else please let us (customers) move on - so that we don't look like fools - making the same mistake of buying LAVA twice in one lifetime.

At least Lava is better than low end xiaomi and vivo

Kedar284, 20 Nov 2022Just like greenwashing!!I'm not Indián neither I buy this, I definitely see supporting economy on regional basis to be a valid aspect though. Not like the cheapest equals the best. (And yes that T-shirt is okay to me for Indian regardless business, sadly I've seen much worse variations of it than national pride.)

If you need a hashtag to show you're proudly Indian that means you're probably not proud to be Indian.
