It makes poor compared to main because hardware is inferior. Even if both were equal, the superwide is gonna be behind a f 2.2-2.4, while main f1.7 for example.

Why is Google using Pathetic and crappy samsung GN1 sensors and not Sony sensors? It's a total waste to put all computational heavy weight behind samsung sensor, wasted opportunity.

Having same sensor resolutions is a must. Nothing worse than having inferior resolution when using ultra wide for example so you always hesitate from using it because it always makes poo photos compared to main. I know this even more on my Poco X4 GT where ultra wide at just 8Mpix is so bad I'll only use it if I absolutely must have such a wide angle and I can't step 2 steps further back under no condition. Otherwise main 48Mpix is just so much better. Difference is smaller on higher end phones, but still noticeable.
