I have Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G and it is complete plain android and yes it is ''Color OS''
You have absolutely no idea that all apps are basically plain google apps.. There is no Oppo stock based apps on my phone apart video, which I never used or music never used, compas, recorder, notes and weather That's it. And I could uninstall them anytime with all in one tool ...
the rest is all gapps .. so there you go.. You have no clue what you talking about...

Imagine a chipset so HOT, that underclocking it lets it run even better, close to full potential. LOL. :D
Jokes apart, Antutu is a mixed/composite score, and could show this due to maybe something else being faster, could it be RAM bus to the processor, or RAM itself, or storage or integration, maybe even the software setup, or something as discreet as that?
Or Maybe Antutu itself is not a reliable tool? But so many versions later its improbable.
I'm imagining wild here but could it be that Oppo cheats benchmarks somehow? Again its a wild imagination and after the Oneplus fiasco, I think its improbable.

Mollisol, 23 Nov 2022Should I buy this Oppo Reno9 pro+ or Oppo Find X5?I'm using the find X5 with android 13. Great phone, really nice, colour accurate screen with plenty of features like natural tone display and vision engine plus marisillicon X npu or adding 3rd party switches to the drop down menu like auto music detection.
Snapdragon 888 runs like a charm and hasn't let me down once, I really don't think you'd see real world difference over a 8 gen 1 other than less apps will be optimised for Armv9 yet, 8 gen 2 seems worth it with worth while upgrades.
Battery and charging is great, one of the better flagship endurance phones (even though GSM like to bash this and the X5 pro even though they match/beat most flagship android phones) and never having to worry about charging is a game charger on phones (apple and samsung need to seriously step their game up).
Colour os is fantastic, went from pixel 6 pro before this and I've never looked back, absolutely destroys that awful OS and is far smoother and feature rich and has only improved with android 13. (anyone saying ColourOS is rubbish has literally no idea what they're talking about, I'd be surprised if they've owned a current Oppo flagship or prefer broken, inferior OS builds like Pixel 6 series).
Only real weakness is the Samsung sensor telephoto, it's has one of the best ultrawides on a phone though (imx766 like the main sensor).
The X5 in the matte grey like on the photos on gsm is one of the nicest looking and feeling phones you will handle or see, period.
Also if you like dual sim the X5 will handle dual 5g sims concurrently (nsa and sa mode automatically) and handle 2 WiFi networks at the same time too. The X5 beats the 9 Pro in a few ways including the camera department (except selfie, same selfie just 9 Pro has AF) and slightly bigger battery.

8g1 is so bad that I would go for the new mid range with 8+g1 instead. However, find X5 pro has a much more superior camera if that is what matters for you.

This is my Next Phone. Just concerned with Android 12. Maybe Oppo has optimized Color OS 13 with that android version and Android 13 is still in beta for Oppo to optimize. Still getting this phone

umm.. why is reno series going flagship.. was it supposed to be a midrange??
anyway, if this gonna be released then you buy it, its fast when bought new. but after 3 months it performs like snapdragon 680🤣🤣 thanks to oppo, they even include ram expansion to run like a flagship again. but that'll cripple your ufs storage chip😀😀 storage size would only came 256gb max🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
atleast old woman and young girls would just buy this for design

Other brands just overclock the chip beyond omtimal point just for more score so not much power increase ut a lot of heat.
