Battery should improve with 8 gen 2 and heat shouldn't be a problem as it's a TSMC soc like 8+gen1 but wait for the test to be sure of this, screen will be brighter too.

With the X80 Pro, i have many things that impressed me =
1. Hdr and night photos are excellent
2. The design has growed on me (screen protector is silky smooth)
3. The fast charging is excellent (fast, doesn't go above 38°C)
4. The IR Blaster comes in handy
5. Very strong signals, never lost signal once (my previous phone mi 10t pro had trouble)
6. The fingerprint never misses
For camera, i use the ultrawide and portrait mode most often.
Only issues are overheating when using the cameras more than 10 minutes and the "normal" battery life.

All settings to the max, like 1440p and 120hz. Brightness varies. Just basic browsing, scrolling, reading, and less than 10 photos a day. Phone never goes above 38°C even when charging.

Should i upgrade from My X80 Pro? My only downsides with this phone is that it overheats easily when camera is used (none with others) and normal battery life, the battery is weaker than my Mi 10T Pro

Im waiting reviews, but i want buy X90 or X90 Pro, but problem is, like usual, chinesse only.. we can get only X80Pro here in Europe with bad SD1.

these sort of things are pointless to me. the only model worth getting is the pro++ super mega top line version the others are made into junk in comparison. as the ++ does not have 3.5mm or small screen i'm not for that either.
