Agree Moto made ugly phones, except V3. Made for an American market with American design....too bulky. Should have been designed with a more universal design appeal.

google are streamlining the business to keep it going. sad to have jobless. but rather a few than all going down the kermit. if sales pick up they re employ simple rule of business.

Don't worry about the lay off guys. In any orgainzation, when sales drops, that is usually what happens. Lay offs will come in mind first. You all have to understand, the comapny's can't keep on paying the salaries because of sales going down. Sales going down is part of the weakness in the staff themselves. In this case, its all about the phone design and capabilities as well as poor product marketing. The staff themselves are part to be blames.
Anyways, I am sure there are jobs outside there waiting for them. When you need to earn a living, do not pick and choose on the job.

Choosing Android for their phones is a great choice. Motorola is doing good for battery in its phone. It just needs Better Designers... (Phone companies out there are competing with their designs....)

Motorola used to be the top smartphone makers but very unfortunate they just cant make beautiful and great Android smartphone.
Most probably Motorola will join the league of HTC, NOKIA and BLACKBERRY to be 3 or 4 tier makers.

Motorola has made phones with innovative designs, with high quality material like aluminium and kevlar. They are slim and it last model like xt925 are very fast. I think that people only follows trends. if you want a phone to give you personality with innovative designs and good quality finish that sets you apart from the rest then Buy yourself motorola and stop being one of the bunch.
