YUKI93, 30 Nov 2022“Free speech absolutist”? Then why Elon doesn't focus ... moreElon Musk is a walking contradiction and a hypocrite. He once proudly said he is anti-subsidy but his companies have received billions in government subsidies.

He said he is a supporter of free speech but threatened Tesla whistleblowers and fired Twitter employees for sounding their opinions. And let's not forget how petty he becomes when someone criticise his 'genius ideas', as seen in the Thai cave rescue saga.

    Twitter getting banned off the apple app store is inevitable. Musk firing most of twitter's moderation team has opened the floodgates of hate speech and csam. It's what got Parler and Tumblr banned before and what's scaring away advertisers.

      Twitter should find new advertisers then instead of whining about their biggest ad buyer leaving 🤣
      Or Twitter should get a new owner and CEO who actually knows what they are doing.

                “Free speech absolutist”? Then why Elon doesn't focus on Donald Trump's Truth Social instead? He can even buy Gab or Parler if he cares so much about free speech.

                          I really used to like this guy, but now every time I see his name I roll my eyes in disgust. He's too... radical, and irresponsible. Clearly has his own strong-minded beliefs of what an "ideal utopian society" should be, which not everyone agrees with. And since he's one of the most influential people on earth, he has the power to make his half-baked convictions a reality, such as permanently establishing an entire population on Mars before 2050 even though the technology and methods of making Mars livable haven't even been fully explored yet.

                                While I agree with your point in general, news about the policy of the company with the largest share of the US market is inevitably political. Phones are communications devices and it is unavoidable to consider whether a billionaire from another industry entirely should have the right to decide what and how shall be communicated.
