Its narrow-minded sometimes. Thanks for the ellaborations as well, that SE fact was new to me haha.
Well as we reitterate again and again. Phones manufacturers don't exist to please you with the angry face right now. They exist to provide all their consumers products that will satisfy different people. Manufacturer's like nokia, practice this. Vertu for example only caters to the upper middle class and above.
Its really annoying next time Nokia should change its "connecting people" to "connecting many kinds of people with different tastes and budgets", this way everyone will understand that there are other people too.

I own both Nokia 6126 and 6555 phones with AT&T in the USA. I don't want a smartphone (too big and expensive), but I use many of the non-web features of my midrange phones -- calendar sync w/Lotus Notes, texting, alarm clock, timer, calculator, and, of course, voice calls.
Mostly I like the 6555 better than the 6126, but there are a few features of the 6126 I like better, mostly because the nokia OS is v4.28 (6126) rathen than 3.31 (6555). For example, you can set any mp3 song as your ring tone with the 6126, but only tiny ones on the 6555. The 6126 also has more and better ring and alert tones included. For example, the default alarm tone is a nice ascending tone on the 6126, but the 6555 jolts me out of bed.
I agree with DA MASTA and ScottieC that the 3610 looks exactly like a 6555 with different colors. Some of the specs (like the µSD port being limited to 4Gb when 8Gb is available now and 16Gb will be soon) suggest that the 3610 uses a lot of (maybe all) common hardware with the 6555. However, if the 3610 updates the OS, it might resolve most of the issues I have with the 6555.
Of course, I'd rather just download the latest OS version and install in on my current 6555, but that might cost Nokia phone sales. :( On the other hand, being able to do that also might earn my loyalty as a customer, too.
I do see a potential problem with the 3610 case: It appears to use metallic colors. Unless the metal-looking parts are actually metal, they are grey plastic with metallic paint which will quickly scratch off and look ugly. You could use a case, but it makes the phone larger and heavier. My 6126 has a metallic-looking strip around the edge which quickly scratched and became ugly. My 6555, however, is just black plastic with no paint. The plastic can scratch and it still looks OK because it's a solid color.

Half of you on here probably don't own a phone but just bash low end models that manufacturers produce. Not everybody wants an N95 when all they do is txt and talk. Comments like, "ooo its a year late"... "i don't understand".. You obviously don't understand business. This is a great budget phone and yes, there is a market for it. Rezonator talks sense... the rest of you.. i won't waste my breath

Any manufacturer worth it's salt has to have a robust product portfolio for obvious reasons. It's the very reason why profits and sales are falling at SE, coz even at the top end of the market it simply can't compete as well with Nokia. Why do you act as if Nokia won't release an 8mp camera phone that you are making noise about?. As i always say to Nokia haters, don't bash Nokia for the sake of it but at least present an intelligible argument instead of farting about the place!!!.

guys uve got to understand one thing...
as a felllow smartfone owner we seem highly expectant of "every" phone that leaves a phone manufacturer's factory to be deemed part of the ongoing smartphone race.
we have to understand one thing however... phone manufacturer's have to cater to different markets as well, and since when have low budget phones belonged to smart phone markets?
Plus, to stop producing budget phones is to put a company out of business - for good. The average Joe cannot afford a Samsung Omnia, Nokia N95 8GB, LG Viewty, HTC Touch Diamond or SE W980i. What phones can these people use then?
even smart phones have different markets as well. the camera oriented types, music oriented, business oriented etc.
it's kinda annoying to have to go through comments ranting over why a manufacturer produced a budget phone.
its like going to a thrift shop and asking why they don't sell Gucci.

The new SE phones really well. Compare SE & Nokia coming soon phones. Definitely SE phones are thousand times better than Nokia. So then next couple of years, SE market is growing really well.
