but more portable systems are getting better over time
A gaming PC is often able too be the most powerful but at a price premium
GPU's never at MSRP and port shortages and per-builds often not the choice of ports
or A modern a game console like a X-box or ps5 can be a real beast in hardware also
For being portable gaming there often less powerful
last gen hardware performance is still holding out with some life left in it
i don't know for how long it will be till the ps4 stream deck will be obsolete like the switch
Some portable systems are more good in hardware then others
MINI Gaming PC's can have good hardware and get kinda powerful ( rtx 3060ti mini ) with excellent ram & storage amounts 2tb SSD storage & 32GB ram or even more
however not super powerful as there is no RTX 3090 mini or RTX 4090 mini being made
mini pcs with GTX 1650 are heading down same path as ps4 pro and are on there last legs
in and have there own set of problems GTX 1630 is base ps4 and the under-powered switch only gt 1030 so i estate
ps5 or latest Xbox rtx 2080ti I estate if your wondering
Gaming laptops can reach good performance levels but only with top tier mobile GPU's
and some of them can have 32gb ram & 2tb SSD storage or much more
Both gaming PC and gaming laptops can have very good 1080p 240hz or 4k 120hz screens or even better
high pricing is problem with gaming laptops and pc market still has many of it's own problems
Small portables are not the best as specs are limited and often can't be upgraded
GDP WIN 3 stands out too me as can use rtx 3060ti & power bank as far as am this should work but limited too only 16gb ram on heavy ram hungry os like windows is a big problem
and too much trying too make up for it's short comings going on
other portable PC / console steam deck are just too Under-powered like ps4 so are in the same boot as the ps4 hardware is weak for modern games
Gaming smartphones do seen too be kinda powerful snapdragion & mediatek
processors are but do need too improve
Gaming smartphones stand out as they have better screens 144hz 165hz & Oled screens
If any small portable system is good it is the gaming phone with robust cooling and fans
SSD storage or ufs storage
But gaming smartphones run heavy ram hungry OS android only have 18gb ram but do try too make up for it with using virtual ram 4gb or 6gb i think on top
storage weakness also only 640GB but has SSD at least
or 1tb that is OK but is ufs storage

obsolete hardware not really they seen about as strong as a
ps4 or ps4 pro in some ways they got some power in them
The new gaming phones with snapdragon from Nubia or Lenovo legion show a lot of promise GDP WIN 3 maybe somewhat good also
i guess that does mean there kinda weak
obsolete not sure how long till that happen
but i can't see them aging Too well

The GDP win 3 was a step up
with hardware and tape a power bank and rtx 3060ti mini too it and you should be good too go
But you get my point right
most of them are too under powered and get out classed by gaming laptops
Even budget gaming laptop still a lot better then most handhelds
and can run games much better and if we talking about gaming performance and value for money better as well as needing a playable frame rate
ps5 set this standardized the level tier of hardware for future games
The ps4 is still holding out on it's least legs as budget opiton the qustion is if u buy cheap do you buy twice as resuit of game refusing too smoorthly or even a all

the steam deck hardware is of fairly low performance and already on it's last legs
steam deck is portable ps4 yes obsolete close also
not much gaming life left in it
the ps4 can most likely hold out for a little longer but it's very dated and
it's on it's last legs in 2022

if a game made able too run on crappy switch thing comes too the pc
at least the potato Pc might be able too run the game

also give the steam deck a year or 2 and it be just as crap

The Nintendo Switch is designed to play Nintendo Switch games on it's own operating system. It is not a PC like the Steam Deck, it is not upgradable like the Steam Deck. The Playstation Vita is a better comparison to the Nintendo Switch than the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck is more comparable to the Aya Neo, Onexplayer, and GPD Win 3.

This system still doesn't play ALL steam games and needs windows to run those non verified games. What a joke.

Even loading games of the SD card is viable. It could be an issue later on, but the 64GB eMMC model is not bad.

Steam released this with Steam OS incapable of running ALL of their games, especially the ones with their own launcher. A competing windows-powered one will run circles around this.
