02 December 2022
Previously, the software was known as "realityOS" or "rOS". The name change is seen as a sign of the launch growing near.

Is it me or is Apple the new Microsoft (wait for others to make a step towards a new direction and then copy them)?

A stark contrast to Steve Jobs' Apple (first to introduce, or at least popularize the majority of concepts we now use: from mice to GUIs, touch screens and tablets)...

Rotciv Ikias, 02 Dec 2022Wow this MR,AR and VR thing is getting really interesting u... morePSVR made no sense. Sitting VR experience running on a weak machine is not a good idea. In fact none of these are, VR has not solved (virtual) locomotion and it is of low quality visually. The tech is simply not there.

AR seems more promising as most of the "processing" is already done by tne environment around you, but I have yet to see a good implementation of that either. Microsoft's Hololens seemed promising for a time, but as with everything Microsoft it ended up a flop (I'm seriously considering that Microsoft's consumer level products are a front and they don't actually care if they ever work, they always flop)...

Only problem is: HTC Oculus cost like 400 and deliver outstanding performance.
This wont be as great but price will be greater than a lenght of a Chinese great wall.
