We need more red phones, that's an undisputable, objective fact

Will user have to pay a subscription to the color? Will it turn black the next year?

I hated plastic, until these glass tile phones increased the weight, how is it possible for a phone to weigh a quarter of a pound (the iPhone 14 pro max/ galaxy s22 ultra) you can't go running with pants of running cotton with such a brick in their pockets, the girls think that this package is something else hahahaha

I srill cannot fathom why people would even still argue over plastic back vs glass back in 2022 when loads of people use phone casing. I don't even care what kind of material I have at the back once I put my phone case on.

But that white pantone branding/logo on rear/ back side spoiled the whole look

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2022I wonder how motorola is the #3 in USA if nobody buys. Why are they a fanboy, they sell so much that the best phone they have been able to launch, (edge 30 ultra motorcycle) did not make it to the USA 🤣🤣🤣🤣 in the United States the number 1 is the iPhone, then Samsung follows and then one or another Chinese phone that arrives

                      What a beauty!

All phones look identical if you remove the logo. Only Apple has some different hardware and software. But these are not visible outside

Don't forget that many people care about looks and aesthetic, or else phones are just gonna stay with ugly designs and boring colors. This magenta really brings a fresh air as not many manufactures are trying with these colors, and it added up to an already beautiful set of colors this phone offer. And the fact that this phone is actually pretty good make your comment looks like a complete circus. Get a damn life my guy, I'm tired with seeing you trashing on pretty much every phone out there, LOL.

kevinmcmurtrie, 03 Dec 2022Phones are so boring that a new color counts as a premium f... moreAfter the release of the original iPhone, every new generation came in two great colors. They were called „black“ and „white“.
Then with the 5s, they expanded it with „gold“, which some people jokingly said „wow the most important new feature of this phone /s“. But what was not as apparent, is that Apple would later start using what I would call a „hero color“ on every new premium model, and this was the first iteration of that. It‘s also a good way of showing „I have the new one“.
At the same time, the 5c came out, and this and the 5s were the first where the color played a big role in Apple‘s marketing. Whether it helped sales, I‘m not sure. But at the time, in contrast to what the 5s gold was showing, seeing the colors of the 5c was a giveaway of „I have the cheap one“, even if Apple wanted it to be „I have the colorful one“. People weren’t used to colorful phones, especially bright colors.
Then the 6s added rose gold. The 7 had jet black. The X was black and white, the new front design and stainless steel were enough to sell it. Then the hero color of the XS was again gold (like with the 5s, and again heavily advertised), with the 11 Pro it was green. At that point, this fourth color besides the classic black/white/gold was not just a way of showing „I have the new one“, even though it still is more important than ever. Because that color gets replaced every year, it will also show „I have the old one“ after a year, whether you like that or not.
We are at a point where they are changing up colors more than ever. The standard line iPhones basically come in completely new colors every year since the XR and even more so since the 12. They even change up existing colors in more extreme ways than what they did back in the day to space grey. Examples of how extremely different the same color is on different phones are blue and red on the 12,13 and 14. They even replaced the standard black and white with „midnight“ and „starlight“. And what Apple tried with the 5c has now worked. It shows both „I have the colorful one“ and „I have the cheaper one“ without being appaling. I guess another reason for that is that the SE took over the „bottom of the barrel“ model in their segmented lineup.
But I guess that‘s the stuff you gotta do to sell when technical improvements slow down. I‘ll stick to the original „black“ and „white“ colors anyway. Even if those have been slightly modified to show that I did not pay Apple $1000+ for a Pro model. 😕 But I don’t care enough about the color to spend that kind of money just to get a silver/white iPhone.
