Ziad, 12 Mar 2013The most basic and essential feature is not gound.
Outlo... moreWhat do you mean by essential feature is not "gound"?
I don't have any problems synchronizing my contacts. And I'm using several different accounts for that. The Z10 has no problems handling that.
By the way, you are right. RIM has sunk. But BlackBerry has risen.

Have had my Z10 for a few weeks now and I simply love it. I had to sign up for three years but I only had to pay $139. Totally worth it.

Outlook contact synchronization.....CANNOT synch my contacts from any outlook or even Gmail....
And you call yourself the mobile desk...a desk without contacts
You need a billion year to reach Android or iOS...RIM is sinking.

I've tried NOVA 3, Riptide GP, and other HD Games on the Z10 and all went on smoothly.
Not to mention you can easily hook it to your HDTV via HDMI cable and BOOM! HD Games on the big screen!

BlackBerry was made for the World, not just for Anglo-Saxon only. However, I'm still wonder why ..it has 2 core against all another 4 core but still faster. You're correct about this. Its not about hardware but 'software' inside. Somesay its more efficiency, The Great and Powerful.

Being a tech lover, I often take time to read posts like the 400+ comments on SGS4 news item. It seems people are deluded & always demanding something they know not like 4D screen & i7 processor on a smart phone. The usual posters are fanboys who know little about performance but everything about big specs. After a week with my Z10, I decided to look at the competition & what's on offer, I picked an iPhone 5 & Samsung S3. Here is what I found:
1. The iPhone has a good build quality but feels lighter for resting on palm while typing.
2. The Samsung does not feel solid, too much space below the back cover maybe, tap the back & its like hitting a hollow tube.
3. The Z10 feels heavier & can rest well while I use the thumb for one finger typing.
4. The Samsung is too wide & its impossible to type and hold with one hand, iPhone is able to do that.
5. The Z10 trumps all of them on keyboard, unless you are a Youtube or Gaming person, typing is a necessity. Z10 word predictor learns from my input so even my African language words are coming up on the keyboard to flick them up, it learns. Samsung & iPhone however, keep suggesting English words when I type vernacular.
6. While the Quad-Cores are appealling, I wonder what they are used for especially in Samsung, for a phone with Quad-Core to lag it made me wonder.
So if you are white and speak in English, SGS or iPhone is for you, I am African and speak Shona and happy that Z10 is not competing with my input but flowing with it and learning my needs. Overall, Apple and BlackBerry are good phones because they make their OS and Hardware so everything fits well, Google+Samsung are finding it hard to fuse the two because Google is making OS for themself not Samsung, seems Samsung covers the mishaps via more processor power. But working on iPhone and BlackBerry, the hardware and OS are optimised not shoved in.

REDUX, 11 Mar 2013Two generations old hardware?? LOLWUT It's selling a total... moreIt is not the hardware. It is the software that makes a difference. Look at bloated Android that now needs 4 cores and 2 g ram and to do what? Say there has been a 5 times speed increase in Hardware. Where has Android really been able to take advantages of this. Where? It is all in the facade but no real differentiating improvements any where over the years to optimise the hardware speed. Android needs an enema to clean it out. Perhaps a compete rewrite. It is going the way of MS Vista. I met some people in Singapore yesterday who had the Z10 and could not stop raving about it as being where software is heading.

Apart from the fact that Blackberry is selling this phone at that price for a completely new operating system, I think it is a good phone. It's hard to compare hardware only, when any objective person with a modicum of tech knowledge, knows it's more than about the hardware but also, how the OS is designed to take advantage of it. A well designed OS can do more with a less energy hogging hardware.
That is the truest sign of a good device.
Can't compare a universal OS like Android to BB10 or iOS. These are "owned" OSs design and optimized for a specific Hardware/s. They don't need quad core chip to function greatly/properly.
GOOD LUCK TO OPTIONS AND COMPETITION..
