But I still feel it's Apple's design because of the aesthetics and little design details, which here, Xiaomi has copied. And I have worked closely with Xiaomi I know very well how much they like Apple's designs :)

I'm not a fanboi of Apple, but whether you like it or not, Apple is a trendsetter.
Was Apple the first company to launch a smartwatch? No! Was it the first to launch TWS, spatial audio, the notch, and remove the CD drive, headphone jack, and charger from the box? I don't think so. But look how the market started to follow them. Manufacturers want to copy their move.

Apple copies things from different places. Make it the Apple way, and then all others start to copy it.

The first Mac Mini with an external PSU is smaller than the XC Cube EZ65, but the idea is the same. It's a mini PC. There is no distinct design element. All mini PCs are simply miniature versions of normal-sized PCs. Calling the "design" of mini PCs Apple design is ignorant. There is no design at all. If you reduce the size of a normal-sized PC to make it as small as possible, a small box is what you will get. I hope that you are more informed after receiving some education from me.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2022How is this Apple design? Don't you know other mini PC... moreApple launched its first mac mini in 2005 with such a design. Personally, I hadn't seen PC manufacturers selling a mini PC with such a design until "AOpen" borrowed Apple's mac-mini design. In fact, Jonathan Ive designed the "Apple Cube" even before the mac mini in 2000.

But since you have superior knowledge than those people visiting this site, do educate me with more information about this. As always I could be happy to learn new things :)

dexterouz, 04 Dec 2022They love Apple design more than Apple fans. 😌No matter how bad or overpriced people think apple products are, they sell and make billions. So its understandable why Xiaomi copies their designs.
After all, they are a business who is in it for the money.

They should not make the same mistake as Huawei by pre installing an American operating system on it.

Given same performance, Small PC is loud. Large PC is quiet.

NUC from intel is known to be loud and hot. The very small form factor also does not have a build in power supply. It's like cheating the size.. when you consider the PSU brick.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2022I hope these people would start thinking about true innovat... moreYes. Instead of making new innovations in the same line which are not environmental friendly we should concentrate on reducing the pollution from the existing machines.
Already we have problems with environment. We are yet to find solutions for the plastic chemical medical waste etc. Thousands of tons of waste is produced. No place to dispose them. Added to this smoke from transport industry is soiling the quality of air . Cell phones broad band computers TV laptops are emitting radio waves which are not good for our own self. Is the innovation so far made is not sufficient for our life? On one hand we talk about climate change another hand we bring in more gadgets which really are not needed. Our children will pay heavy price . Already diabetes blood pressure cancer kidney failure are rampant. As responsible citizens is it not our bounden duty to work for a better healthy environment?

There's a lot of strong competition in the mini pc market

Unless Xiaomi can offer a lot of performance and specs for very low price it's going to be completely out classed

Intel extreme nuc the mini pc that comes too mind
With i9-12gen and able too take up to a rtx 3090

Then there's all the generic mini PCs i9hk-12gen mini pc are also out or Ryzen 9 mini PCs that also often have Nvidia GPUs that are released or about too be released

                              Even a the border line obsolete 10/11gen i9 or i7 or 9/10gen i9 or i7
Mini pc's with the crappy 6gb ram version of the rtx 2060 or even the gtx 1650 that is just a display adopter and for basic usage or lighter work loads and basic tasks and simple or basic 2d games

Although there had there day still out class any apu system

Even at around 500-1000 pound mini PC out there's can be found spend bit more Intel extreme nuc is a beast

So if Xiaomi makes apu mini pc it's basically junk and overpriced no-one should buy it

I mean, not bad if you want a tiny PC? But why would you want a tiny PC? It's not like you're gonna be bringing it with you everywhere? Are you just gonna have an entire setup other than the PC waiting for you wherever you go?

Not a bad value, but a very niche, if existent at all, target audience.
