The quality is really poor now because they keep using so many contract manufacturers rather than one specialist to cut costs and increase supply. So many reports of defects every time a new iPad launches. Seems Apple don't really care about it anymore as sales keep falling year on year.

If it's manufactured in India, it should be cheaper in India (no import tax) or else it is East India Company all over again.

Why the f**k apple need highly skilled talent when in reality its just assembly line.
Apple is moving to India because of cheap labour to maximize the profit, nothing else. If apple really have balls, why don't they open that factories in US?

I cannot find which company makes the iPad's right now in China. It used to be Foxconn ten years ago but then they started using other cheaper OEM's to make them and the quality control became really bad. I heard it was Compal or something.

by diversify, that basically means they want cheaper labour while maintaining the same price, good news for Indians if they get jobs and fair pay, but nobody really wins apart from apple and their shareholders
