Meizu is working on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone, is it the Meizu 20?

06 December 2022
Meizu is back with a flagship. It could skip 19 and go straight to 20.

So what, what's the big deal?

Heard they're owned by Geely the Car Manufacturer now. Although Meizu's market is mostly in China,India and West Asia, it's good that they're still in the mobile business. They were kind of like LG. They should increase their software support to compete with the newer brands now.

The biggest question is are they still in business after all the failures.

Not gonna lie, when the 16 series was out i cried that it didn't have expandable storage, such a perfect design. When the 17 series came out i was sad that it lost the JACK impressive design nevertheless. When the 18 series came out i was "that's fugly".
So will the 5th be the death or the rebirth?

I was so sad when I saw they didn't release a phone this year, so I'm happy they are finally coming back.

They should bring back the slim bezel less notchless/no punch hole cut out design from the 16 series. All other phones have a generic identical front, their previous designs are the only that stands out

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing what most phone companies do and go up by 10's from now on if the name rumor is true. 18s -> 20 -> 30 -> 40 etc.
