a repair shop can repair the screen for €10-20 when you exclude screen cost. why invest €330 for the repair kit and take risk of a failure? that guy in the repair shop has replaced your phone's screen for almost 20 times before so,there is a huge experience difference.
only makes sense if repairing iphones is what you do for living.

they're literally still making their phones impossible to repair, serializing parts, and then charging insane prices for their "self repair" bull crap on top of it. they used to not even ink screen the pcb lol..
idk what's crazier- that a company trying to make a profit would create such products, or the fact people would buy enough of said garbage to make that company one of the largest in the world

Jerry RigEverything (Zack) even talked about the same in one of his videos, I'll post a link if can find that

Don't think Apple charge that much for glass.
For LCD or camera probably.
My experience replacing my iphone 11 pro max battery in apple authorized store cost approx USD $100.
Replacing my Note 9 back glass cost me approx USD $53-55, and replacing my note 8 and note 9 screen (+frame & battery since it's a whole packet) cost me USD $166-170.
But the different is my iphone need to stay at apple for 2 weeks, while my note 9 only need to stay 2 hours.
For me the "self repair" program is a good option for customer as long as it only about glass, screen, or battery, not the IC or any part inside.
for people who are still not sure to fix it by yourself just go find any trusted phone store/workshop that can help you. or just buy insurance in front.
I rather lose my iphone waranty than paying more than $200 or 300 to fix my iphone since buying new will cost more ($1.000)

Isn't this robbing people legally ? Should be made illegal for repairs to be that expensive. Apple then endorses for their "apple care" plan which again costs money. Such greed. It's appalling

Samsung advertises their Armor Aluminium and Apple is like, "hey it's stainless steel so phone is durable" but both in the end put the same fragile glass on front and back

their back and screen are just the same with other android flagship.
most will survive from 1 meter drop, but try 2 meter drop, most will break or chip the glass, it's only the matter of how big is the damage. but it will surely cause something to the glass
