Rosso, 13 Dec 2022Colourful, yes Asymmetrical just looks weird and ugly 90... moreno, asymmetry is actually better than symmetry. most industries that practice at the forefront of design acknowledge this (fashion, avant Garde, post-modern, niche futuristic industrial design, design houses, art galleries etc.) lean into asymmetry and push the limits of design principles. only mainstream, boring, and normal-people focused industries like consumer electronics play it safe and basic with design. the less provocative, the less innovative the design. that's just facts.

Hated the Samsung s20, s21 series for their bulky camera setup, never liked vivo for the same reason - and now we get this. x{
The Find series used to be the most innovative series among the Oppo lineups, used to also come in unique numberings as well - Find 3, Find 5, Find 7, then came the last innovation on Find series from Oppo, the Find X. After that, its just been a follow / copy / repeat.
The the Find X5 never even came with a limited edition this time like how Find X3 did in the past.
If this is how its gonna look, MariSilicon or not, SD 8G2 or Dimensity 9200, not even gonna look at this
Even Xiaomi has better software support now, Oppo gotta step up their game.

Well screen is always the same.. no difference in designs x:D
Manuf nowadays only making bunch of different backs of the phones which ppl will mostly cover it with protector case ....

Strange decision: one of the few companies that found a unique and well received, almost iconic design for the camera "island", ditching it for s.th. super generic, that at best strongly reminds one of the SAMSUNG S20 Ultra. Just for the sake of change? Maybe it's because of the geometry of bigger sensors.

The camera island is large, i can't imagine holding this device without touching the surface of the island. I highly dislike it.

Maybe look like this will attract more customers because most phones from more famous brands just like Apple, Samsung, Sony and Google looks like alike i mean same device as devices from past 2-3 years.

Software is still poo... moreMy X5 has been flawless, coming from a pixel 6 pro I can say ColourOS is far more consistent and useable than pixelOS with more features too. Anyone saying colour is bad is an idiot, its top 3 OS atm (literally nothing poor about the software, has everything you would need for optimisation and customisation including already on 2nd update on android 13). Also mine came with a matte grey Oppo design case that's really good quality and grippy and I got my X5 2nd hand so no idea what you're on about.

Never buying Oppo again after x5 pro. Software is still poor at times and nobody makes decent cases or screen protectors for it..
