Oppo Find N2 is thinner, lighter and with better screens, the Find N2 Flip is going global

15 December 2022
Oppo learned from the Find N and improved its hinge design significantly to make the phones light, durable and to make the crease smaller.

The Flip looks nice, I wonder how well Oppo is doing with software support for the higher end phones. I don't have experience with Oppo at all but the Flip looks promising when it goes global cheaper than the Z Flip 4 of Samsung.

I'm actually glad Oppo used the same design for the N2 because I was already fond with the first one.

    Folded: 132.2 x 72.6 x 14.6 mm

It's basically the same height as the iPhone 12 & 13 minis and same width as the Z Flip 3 & 4. But another mistake by Oppo by not releasing it outside of China. So expect to pay AT LEAST $300 more if you want to import it. Some will go as high as $2K that you might as well get the Fold 4. Then you have to deal with ColorOS again and you can't change the launcher.

foldable tablets have only 20% of the foldable market.so,main device will be camshell design foldables. n2 flip is the device to bring money to oppo. it addresses all weaknesses of flip4 on paper.better battery life, better camera, gapless fold and a cover display orientation matching the camera viewfinder.I like the wider unfolded screen better than flip4,too. motorola was lacking battery life and camera performance. nice to have some more foldable competition.

8mp ultrawides may suffice for a low range device, other than that they are a disease and must be banned!

I'm more of a Flip guy than Fold guy, but here it seems the Find N2 is the far more appealing device only crippled by ColorOS and being sold only in China. I like that it's only 233g and has Snapdragon for better emulation.

I think the sketches of the Vivo X Flip looks nicer than the N2 Flip. The N2 Flip is 3 mm wider than my Flip 3 which isn't too bad. The Razr 2022 is wide at 80 mm to the N2 Flip at 75. And weight is about the same as my Razr 5G.

TBH, while Flip 3 is my favorite device I've owned, I surprisingly don't use it that much. I prefer my Razr 5G more as a phone. And I have CoverScreen OS on the Flip to make the cover display more useful. I just like using my Razr as a phone thanks to the bigger cover display.

Since I already own two awesome flip phones, I seem more interested in the Find N2 to try out a different form factor even if it's not really my cup of tea. Such a shame that's the one that doesn't go global.

Getting a third foldable flip phone is already quite redundant when I barely use my Flip 3 except to play movies and retro games.

Still too wide when folded. Unless they can get it down to 65mm or less, this doesn't actually make a foldable more compact.

walkman8, 15 Dec 2022Yeah. But all the other specs and hardware achievements are... moreThey are actually minuscule differences in real world usage, except maybe the battery charging speed and it remains to be seen the battery life. Hardware can do so much with the software it's coupled with and I doubt the Oppo UI is anything close to what Samsung has done with their foldables.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2022With d9000+ while z flip 5 will be bringing 8+g2. Not everybody will be needing the extra performance boost of SD 8 Gen 2, and if the D9000+ helps put Oppo's offer at a much better price point, then I don't see any reason to dislike the choice of SoC, which is undoubtedly an excellent pick as well.

I don't like this clip-on phone format, but this at least looks more masculine, not like the samung flip that looks like a girly makeup box

*Samsung fan here* This is like a slap on Samsung Flip4 face and i am liking it meaning i will get one if there will be atleast 2 years software support. That's my only issue with Chinese brands, they do as they care without heeding to fans request/advice.

Oppo should allow the external display of N2 flip to run full android apps complete with launcher instead of selective apps only. What a waste.

It's rare to see a foldable screen phone without a Snapdragon SoC. I'm looking forward to the full review of the N2 Flip, especially for the battery endurance rating.

The OPPO Find N2 has some great specs. The camera specs, bright screens abd fast charging seem quite impressive.
Curiously, both the phones have very poor designs.
They look like they're designed by some amateurs.
Looking forward to these being tested by real users, instead ofbcompromised youtubers. They both look promising.

Very well-rounded overall specs, I like how Oppo is using the new sensor for the main camera and the custom RGBW sensor for the telephoto as well. Now only if it had 8G2 instead of 8+G1, it would've been perfect.
