The two and a half year old Redmi 10X 5G which was priced at a somewhat similar 200 euros (50 more but we're talking a 2.5 year difference here bud, shouldn't be remotely comparable) has a higher end D820. And that has an AMOLED display.

Even if you're just shopping from Realme themselves, the Realme 10 has a 1080p 90hz AMOLED display, and that's priced just 10% higher than the 10s. (right now the 10 is $172 on AliExpress) The Helio G99 isn't exactly a powerhouse but it outperforms the D810 in Antutu with the only inferior aspect being no 5G. I suppose it does have 4 gigs less RAM. But I think my point still stands that this could've had an AMOLED panel.

Why same D810 from Realme 8s? Is it like SD625 for Realme?

joe nodden, 16 Dec 2022LCD 🤮What did you expect from a phone at this price point? If it had OLED, it would either be more expensive or cut down on storage, RAM, and/or chipset

erodhika94, 16 Dec 2022Storage type, that's the different Useful for system performance, apps, and games, but for some use cases having a massive capacity but slow speeds has its purpose, like storing images, video, and audio.

Another brick size phone A.K.A screen size more than 6.5 inches 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Android 12 in 2023. And will get update in couple of months, but people will be short for 1 update, so this will end with android 14. No thanks.

                              Basically the Oppo A77 5g/Oneplus N300, rebranded.

I can't recommend the A77 5G, as the screen only has a 90hz touch sample rate (along with a 90hz refresh rate). It feels really slow and sluggish to respond.

Not sure why they've used such a cheap mediocre display - even their cheaper A96/A54/A74 etc etc all have 180hz touch sampling rates & 1080p screens.

so good to see many budget phone now come with 128GB base variant + 1TB microSD meanwhile many flagship still 128GB and no microSD.

imagine realme 10i 5G for global market will same this (aka rebranding)
