On iPhones tho, they seem to degrade much faster than on other phones for some unknown reason. Perhaps Chinese phones have battery related safety features and that reduces degradation a bit. And that's why, I might be buying a fast charging phone, as a secondary phone

                  L.O.R.D, 22 Dec 2022Okay so to simply put it, fast charging does degrade a batt... moreMy iPhone SE (2020) was charged with 5W and then 18W and it took me a year to get it down from 100% to 86% rendering it basically useless, I know a new battery could've fixed it, but I see no point in changing batteries every year. My iQOO 5 Pro being charged with 120W still lasts over a day, so that's it for fast charing and battery degradation. Batteries degrade naturally anyways, mostly from heat.

Well a battery will be degraded anyways but a faster charging kills it faster and because of this, they claim 80 percent after 800 cycles (about 16 month of use typically but can be upto 2 years)
