OnePlus shares with Oppo.
Guess why vivo is much better, even if all were using same hardware.
Just look at samples of X5 pro and 10 pro, despite different hardware, samples have exactly same issues. You cant tell apart which phone took the photo.
While oppo is moving to 1", one plus is getting downgraded to 1/1.56" , when 789 is something like 1/1.37" (different ratio, not 4:3) but uses 1/1.46"

Just a shame it can't even be tied with it since the US won't get Oppo or Vivo phones here anytime soon (I would be fine with Vivo and IQOO coming out here actually...)

Crazy how OnePlus from being a once favourite for many custom Android fans became such big loser in few years. They be depending too high on Oxygen OS and downgrading their phones faster than apple removes features. At the same time, increasing prices. That's not gonna work
The height was when they removed the metal frame from flagships. Like, what kind of douchery is that. After paying $700 they still give you a mid-range quality product
Having bought OnePlus phones in the past and also recommending it to others, I no longer will do that

OnePlus made a bit of a mess out of its 10 series. There is no vanilla OnePlus 10 and despite much talk, an Ultra model never materialized. Instead, the OnePlus 10T followed up the OnePlus 10 Pro, but not exactly as another flagship offer, but rather sitting a notch below.
The OnePlus Nord 2T doesn't change too much compared to the Nord 2. But in a mid-range segment severely affected by the supply chain issues it did just enough to be a success.
Offering cheaper alternatives to your popular phones is a great way to lure more people into the ecosystem, but you have to be careful about which corners you cut.

Oneplus was the biggest loser in 2022. They let fans down not supporting OS updates in older models (and when they did, it were full of bugs) and making OxygenOS almost the same as colorOS. Adding to that, they deleted the alert slider which was a beloved feature by Oneplus fans, no wireless charge, no ip rating and the cameras continue to be subpar. When will Oneplus make some proper cameras? They were always behind competition in photo/video department but the prices always went up. It's time for OPPO merge totally with Oneplus ending the latter's misery...

Narazumono, 02 Jan 2023The Oneplus 10t has a plastic frame but a glass back while ... moreAny true and tried OxygenOS fan knows, as far as experience and support goes, there is no competition between the 10T and the Pixel 6a -- and it's not in the 10T favor. The only ones tolerating the "new ColorOS experience" are also the same people that would buy any other phone in the market -- brand dilution at its best.

The 10T is by all accounts a loser. It was supposed to bring back that OnePlus value-performance charm after the 10 Pro disaster... it did not, unsurprisingly.
The whole OnePlus brand is a loser. Sure, they've made some marginal gains in the lower end market -- at the cost of the better margins in "flagship killers." They need to change their software approach drastically. Go back to optimized/debloated Pixels, not whatever the eff this ColorOS with lipstick is. Furthermore, that 3-way switch was a defining characteristic of OnePlus, why remove it in the "winner" 10T? If you keep "winning" like this, be ready for a quick brand demise; Xiaomi created Poco and Redmi to fight in the lower end, Oppo in it's infinite wisdom killed OnePlus in the race to the bottom... FFS.

Euro, 02 Jan 2023Oxygen os was the heart of OnePlus. It's quite interesting to see the Color OS based Oxygen OS version running A LOT smoother than the "traditional" one ever did. It was straight-up slow compared to Oxygen OS 12 and 13, laggier as well.
Sure, had the classic look many love, but performance was nowhere near the current OS versions. My own experience was also that older OS versions had a lot more app instability in general.
