common samsung...its 2013. if u still use bad and ugly design, ur hardware n software innovation is nothing...
Choise a smartphone is not only at best spec, but combination of best design, best hardware, best software feature, best camera n video, best build quality, best multimedia, best UI and best compatibelity of accessories

I will buy a couple of Samsung SIVs. The only hardware feature that I would add is stereo loudspeakers.
Plastic or not, I really don't care about the looks & the design-it's a phone, not a dress or jewelry. The truth is: this phone packs a pretty powerful hardware inside, plus a bunch of useful software features. I don't care if they were copied from other manufacturers as some people say here-that's not my problem as I am not "other manufacturer". I thing most of them will be pretty useful for me & most of the people I know. Another feature that no other Android or Apple phone supports is the ability for 3G-324M circuit-switched video calling-it is still used & supported in Asia, Australia & Europe, even by cheap & low priced 3G phones. But for some reason Google & Apple won't support it. Once it was supported by Windows phones, but not anymore.
I just would add that I already owned Sony, iPhone, Nokia, HTC, Asus, Qtek, Motorola, NEC, Sony Ericsson, Ericsson, Sagem, HP, Benq & Siemens. But this is going to be my first Samsung phone.

this is a piece of cheap plastic crap. all they did was move the camera from the S3 and add more megapixels.
who cares about 13 megapixels. no one needs it!!
cheap plastic copy.
Samboys are hiding now, because of the embarrassing presentation. it felt like i was at a circus.

So. I am throwing my wallet at the screen, but nothing is happening....
SO many people in the comments saying it is a 'plastic' piece of crap. Funny, because it has 100x the features that any iPhone does, and blows away the android competition, does anyone know WHY HTC are losing money? and LOL, people complain because it uses a similar design to the S3, Apple has used the same design since the iPhone was released....LOL and no one complains?
Biggest screen of any mainstream smartphone, better display, better processing unit, better battery life.
I have to wonder, if the haters don't like any of that, what the hell do they want?

surely- customers decision- TO BE or NOT to be - why all these insane foulmouthers trollers hatemongers ? synthetic "plastic" materials are used extensively in SPACE satellites . customers hope for good quality innovative handsets at affordable prices with good network services .. OK.

Buddy this one (SIV) FAILS in benchmark against Quad Core ones an slightly better than Two Cored ones (Like Razr HD) no buddy this is NOT THE YEAR FOR SAMSUNG phones :P

SGS4 set the bar high in terms of specs and it's new features are astonishing, but the design is a big disappointment.
