Each time designs get worst and worst. Oneplus 8 was the best so far, I guess.

Why is no one commenting on the Alert slider. They have again started providing alert slider which they removed in 10R. I am glad the consumers have shown the company what consumers can do if taken for granted. Removing features and saying no space in phone have been a trend followed by companies. I would also like to see other companies bringing back the features they have removed in their phones.

Such a shame Apple and Samsung decided to go back to the gross glossy ones so now everyone else followed
We went from glossy backs and matte frames to matte backs and glossy frames, talk about crazy

OnePlus is dead, no value for the money : the only thing they are interested in is your money and not progress anymore ... i understand why Carl Pei left the brand : he did the right move !

Also it seems that the sides aren't flat either, as well as being generically glossy, which just seems like a step backwards compared to 10R's flat matte sides.

I mean, the sides are practically identical looking to my 4 year old OnePlus 7 Pro.

So is it or is it not flat?!?! Is a flat fhd ltpo display too much to ask for?!

Let's us hope it will not have 8mp+2mp trash but based on Oppo Reno 9 Pro+, it will have 8mp+2mp. Sad.

Buying OnePlus 7 Pro is much better and cheaper.

Moto make good phones, but doesn't have an upper hand in anything except price and software experience. If that's all you need and don't have special needs (smaller size, headphone jack), go with Moto, otherwise Zenfone and Pixel are the better choices. Zenfone is bit better because Asus skips all the gimmicky partnerships, and they release a single model which does not compete with ROG in anyway. They don't have to upsell anything, and hence users get a no compromise flagship. Oneplus was like that once before they got into that Hasselblad hassle and Oppo partnership. Expanding too fast does that you, you have to please your investors, and keep pumping a new smartphone every 6 months to saturate the market. But in that process you lose you main vision and start doing random stuff because you have to survive now.
Both Asus and Oneplus entered smartphone market the same year. Oneplus had a great start and vision, and gathered a lot of fan following. Asus on the other hand, was testing the waters. Only after Zenfone 6, they started getting more attention from user and reviewers, but the flip design was prone to failures and not sustainable (expensive to mass produce, low yield of flipcam housing). But it worked as good PR, and finally with Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 9, they have a model that is scalable. On the other hand, Oneplus has just lost it. Sharing their R&D and software with Oppo, it's just a clone out there, trying to saturate a market which is already saturated.

11R may have great hardware but it is ugly looking. The camera placement just looks but awful.
