and my pixel 7 pro, which uses the exact same fingerprint reader as the 6a, doesn't have any issues reading my fingerprints, and my fingerprints are all torn and mangled from working with tools.

0odle-noodle, 04 Jan 2023thats not a widespread issue. its likely a screen protector... moreNope. Clean screen, no screen protector. My 6 Pro did it, and now my 7 Pro. Surprised that it's happening, not all the time, not a dealbreaker, but it IS a bit pxsspoor of Google, who Writes the code, to get it wrong.

On the plus side, loving the 7 pro and it's camera, and *relative* lack of bugs compared to the 6 Pro. Full timeline disclosure: Had a 6 at launch, impeccable, NOT a bug. So thought what are other people talking about? Always wanted the zoom so jumped to the 6 Pro the minute it had a good deal. Ooof. So buggy it wasn't even funny. Hence why I sold it on the minute 7 Pro reviews came out saying it only had occasional, little bug or two.
