If all these members are developing this new standard that means everyone will start moving towards portless devices or at least phones pretty soon. Of course Apple will be first, then Samsung and the rest. And we're not even done with "usb-c everything" project yet lol

couldn't care less unless wireless chargers become fully wireless, as in your charger is plugged in an outlet and your phone charges in a distance like 3 to 5 feet away.

They've been around 14-15+ years and people are still arguing between them like it's still 2008-2013? With video games, I don't even argue between brands because I end up getting all the games I want from emulators. I'm platform agnostic carrying 2 Androids and 1 or 2 iPhones daily.

Apple and Android have a unified charging standard for years. It's called wireless charging which the Palm Pre introduced back in 2009. Then Nexus 4 had it in 2012 because Matias Duarte who used to work for Palm moved to Google in 2010. I can charge my iPhones and Android at the same time using a Samsung dock that fits 2 phones.

I'll never buy another new phone if it doesn't come with wireless charging. It's so convenient and Palm was ahead of the game over Apple by 8 years.

And then people will claim Android manufactures copied Apple on doing magsafe
