        Samsung phones are, sadly, overpriced - in a market where Chinese manufacturers offer great spec phones for better prices. Samsung has been instrumental in smartphone growth, providing phones, SD cards, camera sensors and silicon...The bin is- I bought a Xiaomi Redmi note 11 pro. Australia Post decided they would not deliver it. Refund from Kogan (don't use Kogan EVER). I then, with refunded $$$, bought a poco f3 from Best Mobile Australia. They sent it from Hong Kong (Australian company) via FedEx (because Australia Post don't deliver to David). Apparently I had to have a driver's licence or passport to accept the delivery. So...a very sad, selfish, dishonest society for now. Good phone the poco f3. How are the LG V40 updates going. Perhaps you could buy the LG wing? And fly, fly away, Peter.
        Just reading some more of the posts... Samsung's revenue dwarfs LG. Why isn't LG more aggressive when their products always seemed to make life good? Really good. We had a LG front loading washing machine that kept trying to get the remaining water out of pillows. I had to stop the machine. That is, it was too efficient or perhaps smart for its own good 😉

              I'm not surprised. The last true flagship phones date from 2019/2020. Still using my LG V40, because I can't find a solid successor—the iPhone 13 series would be a good choice, though. Until something really solid comes along, we wait. (How great would it be if LG returns to the market?)

                FatShady, 06 Jan 2023if sammy falls flat, there are others that can replace them... moreonly LG could have replaced them, no one else can. Others are chinese or just aren't good enough (for example Sony)

                  Another issue may be same chipset and features , you will get other android phones half the price with similar OLED/ egde screen /chipset/camera etc. So if samsung is competing with iphone , make sure you are same quality else reduce price to other android phones . Why removed charger (s22 ultra priced double but no charger , no headset , no silicon case also . how much a company saves just these cheaper accessories )

                    samsung s22 ultra , lot of bloatware which we cant uninstall . Atleast give option to uninstall . Please hear customers

                      100 years and stiil Iphone better than galaxy s on everythings touch, battery, size, screen , camera. apps, its done.. its software not hardware. dont lose your money

                              OstryKolesz, 07 Jan 2023I just came back from South Korea. Everyone there was using... morePeople even in South Korea prefer iPhones over Galaxys due to their more recent controversy surrounding GOS.

                              Also, there is a meme about how Galaxy phones are for older people (아재폰) which Samsung can’t really get rid of. Their flip series are somewhat popular for people in their 20s, but many shift back towards the iPhone when they realize there is not much reasoning behind why a phone should fold in half.

                                Deserved. 5 years ago, I would recommend Samsung over Apple, but today I would recommend Apple over Samsung. If Samsung brings back SD card/jack, improves video capture quality, increases updates to 5 years OS, 7 years security, gets rid of annoying curved screen and holes, and reduces bloat of OS, then I would recommend over Apple. But now, you have to be stupid to buy Samsung over Apple.

                                    1. Social perception of them being the "best".
                                    2. Widespread customer service centres.
                                    3. Virtually the same everyday performance on all phones made within the last 4 years.
                                    4. Good second-hand value.
                                    5. Reliable point-and-shoot camera with great video.
                                    6. Seamless integration with other apple devices (iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch and Air Pods).

                                    In other countries replace NUMBER 2 WITH :
                                    Up to 7 years of iOS updates.

                                      what do you expect?
                                      Galaxy S20 5G was 1440x3200 and 563 ppi
                                      Galaxy S21 5G and S22 5G became 1080x2400 and 421 pp
                                      Also, the A53 processor fell by 12 steps compared to A52s and became more expensive without having special features, and its specific absorption rate (SAR) doubled!
