the 6/64gb variant for 12999 inr is not a bad price for this phone. if you want a device with a good display and long battery life on a budget, i feel like the realme 10 is basically the best you can do. i simply can't recommend this phone to western customers, though

Xperia, 10 Jan 2023I will tell you how 4G will be phased out.
Even though 4G ... moreAll companies want profit so yes your point is also right. Companies will force you to opt for 5G.
But i think at the arrival of 4G, people had less smartphones so 4g took grip very slowly. This is not the case right now. Major portion of population have smartphones now so it won't be difficult for 5G to become norm unlike 4G.

Even though 4G have good speeds, Telecom companies will make 4G less usable, so people would upgrade to 5G forcibly, thinking 5G is better deal, while paying unnecessarily high prices.
5G won't make sense for an average consumer until next 4 years,
In India at least.

When i said 4G will phase out, i meant that majority (>85%) smartphone users will opt for 5G. I wanted to say that telecom companies will provide 4G but people will opt for 5G, there will be less demand for 4G and that is how 4G will phase out.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2023Because in developed countries 5G is already rolled and in ... moreEven if 4G has shorter lifespan it still makes more than enough time.
Also more importantly 3G to 4G was a huge leap but 5G is not that great compared to 4G.And Don't forget about Problems with 5G & its high prices.
In India where 2G canbe found in its final moments so 4G is not going anywhere soon.
My suggestion is if you are getting competitive phone even for little higher price to 4G ones then 5G is no brainer.
But if you are getting really good deal for a 4G phone compared to 5G ones then definately go for 4G.

I know not all countries are equal in technology but if you look at history of 2G,3G,4G, every new generation has shorter lifespan than previous one. So according to it, 4G will have smaller lifespan than 3G.
That's why i think it would be better to buy 5G phone if telecom companies in your country are providing 5G.
6G is already in development. ETA 2030.

It will take a long time when carriers finally remove it

BTW LDC don't decide what technology to use so my point is still valid, not for the whole world but for majority countries its valid.

Realme is following OnePlus strategy of increasing prices with every model they release. But as we all know OnePlus is failing and so will realme
