I posted this on the Motorola UK Facebook page and they commented back that they cant comment on rumours, however it is an exciting time for Motorola and to keep our eyes peeled going forward!!

Yeah, sure you get the updates, but those updates make your iPhone lag and you don't get all the features of the new iOS version.

Because an OS is open source we users with older Android phones get ALL the nasty new features in the newest version of Android (example: XDA & Custom ROMs).
But as you've said it there is no responsibility from OEMs to support their older phones.

i dont care if google embarks on selling this phone, motorola's bluetooth is still the slowest of all phones and also i work at a vodacom shop so for me to buy a phone that i send away daily wont be the most clever thing to do ..... moto sucky sucky

I don't believe all you people, you're getting excited over nothing. These phones aren't going to be released until 2nd half of this year and we don't know what to expect yet. As for Motorola, while they have always made reliable phones they are so dull and boring, I certainly aren't getting excited, at the moment I am going to choose the LG Optimus G Pro as my phone for 2013 BUT I am sure there will be some tegra 4 or Snapdragon 800 smartphones coming out this year so I am going to be waiting as long as possible before I make my purchase.

Building your own PC with the best hardware available in the market.Sure like smartphone with liquid cooling,over clocking,hyper threading,ram up to 4 GB,128 GB internal memory and with a dedicated graphics card all shrunk for the size of smartphone? Really do people want more.

Now, Google has MOTO. I can tell you the battle is just beginning. Do you remember what happen to the sales of LG Nexus 4? No phone can beat the % of interest. But Google can't do a mass production because the maker has its own top notch dog too to sell out there. This is business, and I think google isn't that crappy to give you crappy products. Let us see the final battle until these announced beast phone to be released. might as well get amazed :D LG mako kills the market :)

hahaha now the GOOGLE finally has its own manufacturer of its delectable designed phone - this will be the best beast out there. I dont think its really a costumed release, but it is made with a respective choices of delicacy. Well a user is much into 2gb ram, 32-64gb internal, qualcom quad core krait beast processor + 3 GPU of adreno 320 with all the goodies (NFC, OTG, Best camera sensor, quad band of LTE connectivity, an IPS super retina lcd, IP5 certified.. is that what Google refers to be a customizable techie phone? :D can they manufacture that? and oh, before i forget, it comes in sizes too, whooaa. 4", 4.55" and 5" display. OMG what a dream

I think the fact that they gonna let you customize your hardware is very cool but i don't know about the whole one week delivery thing ,it's just not enough time .But who am i to say what google can or cannot do ?I mean if they say so they must have some kind of Manufacturing plan for it .
