They still look like a toy, but maybe in the future they will become something more

KKR, 11 Jan 2023Apple already using microLED in their Macbook Pro and iPad ... morethose are IPS LCD with thousands of mini led backlight. micro led's self emiting technology like oled, but made with inorganic compounds so that screen burn-in can be avoided. micro led's are expensive like the 110" 4k micro led tv by samsung came with a price tag of $156,000 back in 2021.

Other than the no burn in and higher brightness (though modern oleds are already too bright), what's the benefit of microLEDs?

I get that the technology is an improvement, however it costs an arm and a leg. Wouldn't (it) be cheaper if you were to just buy a regular Oled (phone/laptop/tv) and wheeen burn in develops just replace it?

I'm not saying that burn in isn't a real issue. However if the cost of solving it is paying 10 times as much, then it is not much of a solution.

And yeah, microleds would become cheaper, but so do oleds. I don't know if the difference in cost would ever make the microLEDs worth it. At the end of the day you get the same inky blacks , same gorgeous colors and only slightly less brightness with oleds.... you pretty much have their image quality *right now* , not in some indefinite future. Pretty cheaply too (at this point).

Garmin watches are overpriced - such expensive watch without LTE and full support for applications such as WhatsApp. Just for sport you can use something for 200-300€.
Garmin readings are not that good, the gps is not that accurate, its average for anything other than running and cycling.
If in a year or two Apple in the Ultra version will work for 3 days on battery with active use and only LTE standby mode, I will change the watch and phone to Apple products. Garmin is twice as expensive as just for sports.

On such a small screen any adjustements like this will be meaningless i think.
