I still buy CDs. I hope the ability to rip music and burn music is not taken away in this new replacement.

Apple is too late. I gave up iTunes Windows for managing local music and switched to MediaMonkey. The new Apple apps will be useful for Apple's services, but almost nobody (IMHO) will use them for managing local libraries.

iTunes was good 20 years ago but then it became a bloated mess taking lots of install space with loads of background processes, and they removed the ability to manually download iOS apps through it. Hope the new Devices app is lightweight.

For local music Windows 11 media player is the best. Just don't forget to turn on equalizer and use your favorite option. I use bass boost one. Really makes my music very enjoyable. I've tried many music players but their quality was horrible. They sounded very thin and empty.

Let's hope it's not just a reskin of iTunes because iTunes is a power virus on Windows.

So for most iPhone/iPad users the Devices app is all they need.
Also this does work on W10 so I wonder why nobody mentioned that.
