Or the company will use both Samsung and LG microLEDs.

Do you know what Sony's market share is for TV's? It's tiny. No one is going to be making custom panels for them for that amount of products. Apple on the other hand is a giant and the amount of panels they order for iPhones makes Sony look like a garage operation. Yes, Apple can order custom parts and they do.

RealLifePhones, 15 Jan 2023you seem like someone who is to uneducated to do math so le... moreYou're right that Apple Watches will need smaller LEDs, but you're completely wrong that companies can only manufacture sub 2" and 76"+ microLED displays and nothing in between. As I said, it's about resolutions. Tianma introduced a 480p 7.56" microLED display in 2019: https://news.thomasnet.com/companystory/tianma-s-mini-led-hdr-and-micro-led-displays-named-people-s-choice-award-winners-at-display-week-2019-40025391. If you use lower resolutions, you can manufacture smaller microLED displays.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2023Nonsense. It's about the resolution. If the resolution... moreyou seem like someone who is to uneducated to do math so let me show you:
              Apple Watch has 338ppi
              the diagonal pixel count of a 4K TV: sqrt(3840^2 + 2160^2) = 4405,8 pixels
the size of a 4K TV with the pixel density of an apple watch would therefore be: 4405,8p/338ppi = 13"
that's you need different materials/smaller pixels for the apple watch than for a 55" TV

About microprocessors, non fab makers didn't got all themselves. They follow a standardized method. It's not like as they design their own ic then come up with a complete new things. It's even not like as Apple or Nvidia don't fab their own ic, they can't. They can do it with a little efforts with minimum infrastructure development.

Making display is completely a different thing. It's a total development of r&d and infrastructure. OEMs don't do anything other than calibrating their panels, or making the whole monitor set with a pre built display panel. Like sony, tcl, hisense do. Sony buys the pre built panels from manufacturers, then make a complete tv with their own developed monitor set, processor, circuit layout, diode or capacitor layout and so on.

You're just confused and not well informed in the first place.

All of the were too wide.
Even the original Optimus G was hard to hold compared to the likes of HTC one.
Bootloop issue wasn't something everyone faced, some faced other issues.🤣

Anyway, LG never really got the fandom that Samsung got and they never even try their best in tablet space. Honestly their efforts were half hearted at best after one implementation or so in every single scenario.
But yea, still love how much the V series offered...
