New Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ leak leaves little to the imagination

Anonymous , 18 Jan 2023Get the plus model thenI think you're joking. The vanilla S23 is interesting because of it's small size, 6.1 inch screen and compact body. The S23+ is again a "massive" slab with a 6.6 inch screen. On top of that it barely has more battery juice than the vanilla one...4700 mAh over 3900. Most other similar sized phones have at least 5000 mAh and uses hardware that aim for better balance between raw power and power consumption. If the regular S23 would have been a bit thicker it could have packed a more decent sized battery in the region of 4300-4500 mAh. That would have been a better suited device for my liking's.
I know, I'm nagging about my preferences and I also know that you can't argue about things related to taste as it is something personal but I haven't seen many people bragging about their S22 devices either nor did I see reviews speaking in superlative terms when it comes to autonomy and real day-to-day usage. The long term usage tests are even worse on that department. Luckily the rest is pretty neath.

SD, 22 Jan 2023Finally we get SD here in Europe and same performing models... moreS10e is still cool, wait one more year. Unless they have a great buyback bonus, then maybe you could get S10e price deducted from the S23, only in such case I'd upgrade.

Finally we get SD here in Europe and same performing models as everyone else. It's hard to believe it took this long. Maybe finally I'll upgrade my S10e, which was and still is a superb phone. Mine looks in perfect condition because I take care of my devices, only battery life is starting to get a bit low.

S23/S23+ now are more like subflagship, missing some top flagship specs: LTPO displays with full range variable refresh rates (1-120Hz), QHD displays (at least give us option to choose like S20 did), same ultrawide cam in 4 gens (no AF), no Laser asisting AF or TOF/some kind of LiDAR system that helps quick focusing or assisting shoot in low light. Also 12GB RAM.
Just my thoughts, especially when comparing S23+ price to Xiaomi 13 pro/iPhone 14 pro.

By the way, I heard from the grapevine that sanctions will be imposed on ALL Chinese tech companies, not just Huawei. Xiaomi might be implicated.

Mr. Anonymous, 19 Jan 2023A pity S23's base storage will stay at 128GB.128Gb definitely not enough for a flagship phone in 2023, that is sold at premium prices. Even more so since Samsung preinstalls a lot of proprietary crapware and Microsoft stuff in Galaxy phones, that takes up a chunk of extra storage compared to a phone running on stock Android.
