Xperia L should aim & compete with SGS3Mini(I8190) and LG L9, if Xperia L is much more expensive, how you're gonna take more market shares? Don't forget about Samsung new Galaxy Grand, they (Samsung) have good strategy filling in every possible price range.
Galaxy Mini, Y, Ace, Wonder, SGS3Mini, Grand, etc.

As for Xperia SP, is almost as "pricey" as Z10, SGS3, and don't you learn from Xperia Ion & it's siblings?
TX and V still on same market BTW :-)

Bad marketing policy

AnonD-77318, 18 Mar 2013couldn't agree more... im not Sony fan but your example is ... moreboosook asked for an example, he/she did not ask to keep it specific to android. But, if you'd like to keep it specific to android all you need to do is scroll a mere inch below the Nokia examples to see the Nexus 4 example. Last time I checked, it ran android. You're welcome.

Nokia Lumia 520 is entry level at ... morecouldn't agree more... im not Sony fan but your example is irrelevant. the flagship lumia 920 is just same as this midrange Sony in specs: HD display, 8MP and dual core processor. why on earth you compare that shit Nokia wp midrange with this Sony midrange. thats all of your wp example are garbage and just same as Chinese low ranger phones.
well, the high ranger phones from WP, BB and iOS are just midranger phones in Android. just saying

400E for the SP is a bit much. 300-350E would be reasonable.

Wow, that sux, i think the SP price is too close to Xperia Z, should not be a problem for most people to cough up a few hundred bucks more to get a superior phone. Full HD, superslim beauty, much higher performance AND waterproof, its well worth the higher price.

The mid to high range (depending on your POV) Nexus 4 is on Google Play for $299. The entry-level Xperia L is $362. The mid range Xperia SP is $516. Unfortunately for Sony, numbers don't lie.

The GS2 Plus has the same price of the SP, but it has only a 4,3'' 480x800 display while the SP is 4,6'' and 720x1280. Battery is 1650 on the GS2+ and 2300 on the SP. CPU is 1.2 GHz on the GS2+ and 1.7 GHz on the SP. If this is not enough, the SP also has LTE and NFC, and an HDR camera. And the CPU and GPU are more up to date than the ones in the GS2+, which are a generation behind.

As usual, both are extremely overpriced for a mid ranger. Hopefully both will have a large price drop as usual when people won't be buying them. However, xperia t buyers are gonna be very disappointed hearing that a midranger from this year is better than last high end sony phone they bought.
