Newton (force) has absolutely NOTHING to do with hardness. You have absolutely no clue what hardness is, do you? You need to apply almost no force to scratch a surface if the thing doing the scratching is simply harder material than the material you're applying it to. Go on, use a box cutter knife on some plastic and on some glass using same force. Which scratches first? And yes, literally everyone has told billion times how Victus is softer as it's much more prone to scratching than former versions because they wanted to make it less prone to shattering. You cannot ever have both, it's just a matter of finding the middle between both.
Newtons could only really be applied to shatter resistance where you need to measure how much force is needed to break/shatter certain type of glass.

So you're basically saying victus is more prone to scratch than older versions? Let not talk about the victus+ and victus 2, the victus has been tested to stand up to 8 Newtons. Which was 4 Newtons for Gorilla glass 5 and 6.

Gsmarena, not only that store is selling it also Qonexia, mundo digital and other retail stores as well. The price for the 256 version is $1345 and for the 512 version $1495.

It's why "old" screens hardly ever scratched, but shattered easily on drops. Now it's the opposite and it has been criticized several times how Victus survives drops better, but gets scratched so easily. Which for me is worse. I never shattered any display ever, but they all got scratched real nasty and often I had no clue how. I just took phone from pocket and it had a mega deep scratch there. So annoying. Just give me sapphire displays any time. Nothing worse than looking at deep scratch that appears out of nowhere.

They are different forces. Scratch resistance involves shear forces, whereas shatter resistance are against vertical force
