Hundred times better than upcoming Samsung's S series, only thing missing is 5G, google services can be installed through a third party software.

huawei has always been my favourite brand. it is unbelievable that it still keeps making great phones with 3d face recognition, sd card slot and stand-alone camera hardware. after 4 years with my mate 20 pro i switches samsung s22 ultra. it is a great phone but compared to my mate 20 pro from 2018 it doesn't look like such a big improvement in terms of technology and functions and overall performance. if huawei was allowed to use its full potential and sell its phones in europe too then it would easily defeat any other brand. it is really sad. i would switch back to huawei any day.

Compared to most other even more crazy pricier competition finaly a phone with outstanding camera setup on the bck and no useless 2, 5 or 8 Mpix gimmicks.

Narazumono, 23 Jan 2023Who's buying Huwaei phones after the ban?A small proportion of the number that used to but I saw it reported that the still outsold Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo in terms of flagship devices sold last year (they are almost only selling flagships now and the odd midranger). Still, they are selling a fraction of what they used to. It's just a matter of trying to survive in the smartphone industry until they get a solution to the 5g problem. No gms is not a big issue at all for them but lack of access to hardware components is the problem

There 2 problems,
Outside of China will be EMUI not Harmony (that why I didn't go for mate 50 pro)
And second right now is 5G but not that extrmly problem. (maybe bank app)
Over price? Not sure look how much they charge for samsung crap, xiaomi, apple etc. They charge same or more. GMS is just excuses others, harmony OS is actually pretty good (on my tablet)

I fondly remember my P30, one of the last full android ones, and it was the best device I have ever had. It ticked all my boxes like a small size, a very good battery and equal autonomy. A fantastic display, amoled of course, and a very good camera (according to my daughter at least). It's such a petty that politics and protectionism cause a brilliant brand that was actually leading in terms of quality and bang for the buck.
