Elon Musk doesn't like Twitter's current ads - they are "too big" and "too frequent". A new, pricier subscription will eliminate ads altogether.

If Elon really want to fight for free speech, why bother going to Twitter when he can go for the likes of Gab, Parler, and Truth Social. They are a much better candidate for free speech advocacy.

      If you have an android, follow a tutorial on how to download an app called "revanced" and how to install patches onto twitter. you can get no ads, and pay absolutely nothing.

        Look at the whiners and how many of them are whining about Elon on Twitter. Elon knew this, so he’s taking the opportunity. The addiction is real, so I doubt Mastodon would make any difference in the short term.

                    Just use an adblocker. Adblock Plus is fast and good. For android use Opera it has effective adblock.

                        In case of chrome i use adblocker for ads over any site and youtube.
                        If a site wont allow me in because of adblocker i siply use another site which wll let me in.
                        And in any other case TOR Brownser is the answer. The most secured brownser ever made.
                        In case of anything else i disable ads everyhwere on everyapp if it have a ption to do so for free.
                        And in case of twitter i am not using it. There is no benefit for me from using twitter.
