If you run over to the xda-developers user forums for the watch, there are threads on how to install a "fixed" copy of the SHM app that allows sync of the data to the health app and installs ALL health apps that works.
            Mine had heart rate, blood pressue, ecg and they all work properly & sync with the samsung health monitor app on the phone.

Phone has NOTHING to do with capturing of ECG. Watch does. Only thing phone does is showing the info in an app. I'd like to see Samsung's explanation why in their infinite wisdom it can't be done on anything but Galaxy phones...

Yk, like OnePlus with their Pro Gaming mode and Apple with Airdrop.

                  There are plenty of ways to bypass the restrictions to use ECG and other features too. U just have to find the tutorials online.

                    Do we need Samsung phone for diagnostics as well?

                      As many of the features of GW 4 and 5: you need to have samsung phone. That is not stated when you are purchasing the device.

                      Also, there are geographical limitations, wheather your Country released approval to use medical like systems from your watch device. So, overall, you end up with very poor and frustrating user experience.

                        I Almost Thought The Watch Will Have Under Display Cam.
                        Without Camera On Or In The Watch The Zoom Function Is Useless.

                              If you are zooming, you still need to see your Smartphone screen to check if its zoomed well enough.
