    In my opinion, this will enable local developers to earn more as Indians don't want to spend any penny on apps. This will reduce the burden on mainly small devs.

    Although the search engine aspect, almost everyone would select Google as it even offers the best search results.

    If Indian CCI can do same to Apple it will be groundbreaking and if Apple bends the knee, I can say iOS will begin to rule Indian markets as well.

      Good news. Expecting same from Apple.

      That'll be better for Indians, they will have an option, at least.

      Hope EU will follow soon.

          they doing this on my country long ago you can even pay or buy apps on Walmart

            One of the reasons why I would always still choose Android over iOS is still the sideloading support and general freedom

            I think EU forced Apple to support sideloading but I know if APPLE complies they will do it the APPLE way-which will not be as convenient as Android sideloading

                    Goddamn I didn't expect the CCI to be able to twist the big multi billion dollar organization google into a bind, but man is this great stuff!! More competition on the payment front will allow for better experiences for the end user.

                    I do wonder if this means that all midranger and budget phones sold here now will start using their own proprietary software solutions for file managers and stuff, I've found most "proprietary" solutions to be a mixed bag - some are better than Google's solution, and some are worse. But now that corporations are not forced to incorporate Google's software on their devices, maybe they'll work on their solutions and make them better. Fingers crossed
