i don't really understand this much fuss about the Octa chip-set... its the chip-set which is 'OCTA' and the processor is not Octa Core, it has two different quad core processors which will not be working simultaneously but separately when the situation demands it to... its more of a marketing gimmick more than the evolution of GS3 to make GS4 outrageously advanced than GS3, yes they did make use of the latest technology out there but we shouldn't forget its still a Quad core phone at a time... it just happens to have two processors for different tasks.. in a practical world you will never need this much of raw processing power in a smartphone...

The reality is that the Exynos 5 Octa chipset doesn't work with LTE and Samsung decided not to fix that issue. If your carrier is non-LTE then you get the i9500 otherwise it is the i9505.

                samsung is a joke!
misleading people in the announcement by saying they are getting octa when in reality most people will only get snapdragon..

plus 4g phones only get snapdragon?? when they should be getting the Oxta chipset! what a joke!

AnonD-99939, 21 Mar 2013So all the developing countries get the awesome exynos Octa... moreIt's about LTE and in Europe almost every country has at least one carrier which offers 4G/LTE that's why we get i9505 contrary to others... so as good as Exynos sounds unfortunately it's got no LTE... bummer :-(

I'm glad Saudi Arabia will get both models I just wanna know how will this "Octa-core" processor performs + benchmarks scores

SextraLounge, 21 Mar 2013What about Ireland? Not on the list unless you still thinki... moreI would imagine it's because a lot of people outside the UK do not know the difference, It should either read British isles to incorporate Ireland or Ireland should be a separate on that list, but however i would imagine on this occasion that you are deemed as UK and as such will get both variants, not sure here, but do you have 4G coverage in the republic through EE or is that not supported yet

What an absolute joke, I think that Samsung are having issues with the octacore processor that's why the major markets are not getting it (with the expection of UK and a few other country's) I would personally rather have the snapdraggon 600 SoC, than the octa core. The snapdraggon 600SoC performs the same as the octacore, the only advantage of the octacore is that it may be more power efficient and last a little longer. But this is expected as its a snapdraggon processor clocked at 1.9Ghz with 4G LTE, but if your country does not have LTE then its pointless to have. I don't like the idea of the octacore processor as I can for see devs running into problems with it and also because exynos don't release sources for their SoC. I will probably buy an additional 3000mAh battery for the s4 so that it lasts longer. And as for price they will be relatively the same price as the octa core processor is expensive and the s4 with LTE is also expensive, so no SoC is cheaper than the other.

Not on the list unless you still thinki... moreGuess, market-wise, they (samsung, vodafone etc)always refer to us as UK-Ireland. Check previous samsung firmwares..especially for 3network. Most likely Eire will get both depending on service provider.
