6 Gen 1 is basically a underclocked 778G with 4K Video recording support.

Those bloatware dont affect much, look all sd 695 phones have really good browsing score that M51 has 16:52H so roughly 17H of browsing, device like Xperia 10 IV 21H, realme 9 pro almost 20H, A23 5G has 18:32H, realme 10 pro 19:26H etc. Thats show soc is more important than blindly choosing bigger battery. Even some sd 695 phone with smaller battery like 4200mah like Nokia X30 has 14H in browsing,

            Specs this, specs that... but most people forget that the other half of the phone's the software you use everyday. Hopefully Honor has improved their software, had their phone several years ago. Was so bad I couldn't wait for my contract to end so I could change to something else.

              Anyway its impressive with 5000 mAh battery.
              If we exclude all bloatware in Samsung M51 i mean samsung UI and other garbage we get maybe a 200 hour results maybe even more.
              But you were right.
              Only problem its that specs of that Sony are worth maybe 200 up to 250 not 350 or more Vendor dependable.

                  Noone.
                  The only maybe better was Lenovo P1 and P2 but those were phones from 2014 and 2015.

                        6000 mAh cell with good charging speeds said CPU and 12GB of ram alng with great screen for affordable price could be a miracle phone in some hands.
                        Last good phone with huge battery apart from rugged phones were Samsung M51.
                        And maybe Asus Rog but those bend pretty nicely.

                              Anonymous, 01 Feb 2023Sadly all 7,6,4 gen 1 are made by Samsung LP 4nmProblem with Samsung right now is yield, thats why you see supply issue with these 6 and 7 gen 1, otherwise Cortex A78 is efficient even with Samsung node it wont have any major penalty.

                                    It's confusing as heck when they change how they call the next generation of a product and not explain what exactly makes the name change different than just increasing the number of the series a few digits more like all previous versions.

But you'll be facing a lot of compromises if you want to get phones with these chipsets at lower prices.

                                        I remember when 600 series was like gold standards for 250-350 dollar smartphones. Offering both battery life and performance. I know the nodes now are much efficient but they are more expensive to make. So getting similar performance to say the 750G at the lower price is much better than getting a 700 series but paying more.
                                        The 778G and even the SD7G1 has not been any more affordable unless it's from Xiaomi. And we all know how "great" the experiences on their software has been.
                                        So as much people complain about wanting a SD700 "lower midrange", you're not getting performance for cheap. And 800 series for midrangers? They haven't had that since the SD870 and even that won't last forever. If you want more, you need to pay more.
