Samsung is going to fail like apple. Apple failing in design and price and now samsung failing in price. Pixel 7 pro is ultimate for half the price and performance equal to apple and samsung.

I had high hopes too for the S23 ultra beating the Pixel 7 series in night and low light photography, especially since the leaks showed promise with the orange pumpkin photo comparisons by ice universe showing more detail in the S23 ultra vs. the Pixel 7 Pro, and I prefer Samsung's One UI over Google's vanilla android.
But from the more recent initial photos posted by gsmarena, it's pretty clear the S23 ultra's image quality are going to be a disappointment. The clouds, foliage and grass just look oversharpened and overprocessed with fake grain/texture added to trick novice viewers it's 'more detailed' when in reality, it's just as devoid of fine detail as the S22's photos.
Such a waste. The powerful snapdragon 8 gen. 2 processor and the state-of-the-art 200 megapixel f/1.7 iso cell hp2 camera sensor could have had a strong potential to producing excellent low light images. As it is, the excellent hardware is let down by poor camera software - atrocious, aggressive and horrendous in camera processing. What were the engineers thinking? It seems those assigned to optimize the camera software have no idea what constitutes good in camera processing and good imaging. Samsung should hire experienced Canon engineers or better yet, pirate Google's camera software engineers because it seems the signature Samsung overprocessing has not been corrected for several years.

You cannot get any phone with the same combination of specs at the same price.
If I could buy an "updated" version of it, I would do so in a heartbeat.

or would you buy it outright, and go prepay?

and the 9pro and Verizon's bandwidth is meh.

But either way, it's just ridiculous that flagships nowadays cost more than twice what they used to a few years ago AND the unboxing experience is far worse.

good, we need this review.
i want see if there any real different for s22 ultra model,except cam.
hope battery life test hours coming more....and sound quality is very good value.
naah! that pen, who need it..its just ready to drop sometimes...and then,just trouble..
hope we can buy some gadget there and close it and put pen to save.
its expesive so i except all best score that can get...but...still i might wait apple 15 pro max.
