Xiaomi unveils Poco X5 Pro with Snapdragon 778G, Poco X5 joins

06 February 2023
The new Pro also upgrades the display (10-bit) and camera performance compared to last year's Poco X4 Pro. The vanilla X5 sticks to the Snapdragon 695 chip.

Good phones, but the lack of a MicroSD slot on the pro is scummy considering they want $/€50 for the upgrade in storage. Another 4x markup.

Blackjesus, 06 Feb 2023Poco X3 Pro is still better than this...I would honestly buy either an X3 NFC or X3 Pro over the X4 or X5 series if I could find somewhere selling them new at their original prices (around £200-£250 in UK) but I can only find second hand or refurbished and they all sell for between £300-£500. To me that shows just how popular the X3 series was that they are on the second hand market at such hugely inflated prices. If anyone knows of any company still selling these models new please let me know 👍

So the X5 is nothing more than an X4 Pro with a downgraded main camera and GG3. Honestly, stick with the X4 Pro. The X5 is just a typical cash grab.
