Heins is correct, to an extent. Android is Java applications running in a virtual machine. Yes, it is built on the Linux kernel, but it is *not* GNU-Linux which full featured, multi-tasking, memory swappable distros use.

Windows Phone does contain some of the NT kernel, so I'm not sure what he means about Windows Phone.

Similarly, iOS uses the BSD-Unix Darwin OS upon which Apple builds its proprietary frameworks. Interestingly, iOS is more like traditional *nix operating systems than Android.

      AHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!

BB thought really really hard about stuff!

oh man.. that just made my morning!

Mr. Hein, you should only talk when you delivered the system and hardware to back it up.

Meantime, I'm enjoying the productivity of using the Galaxy Note II to produce digital paintings, spreadsheets, word processing, slide presentations and so many other things your BB can't and the failed Playbook had never gave.

Heins knows nothing, he should have joined android so that they would have gained market share again. With therr new bb10 not user friendly device I dont even think he should have a say in anything

I wonder what he meant by "mobile computing future". I am sure he didn't realized that their B10 is actually "MOBILE COMPUTING "BACK" TO THE FUTURE"

Be innovative , jst being traditional won't help BB to survive the coming yrs.
