For starters, yes you are right about one thing, software and performance, Apple is unmatched with it so far, their Bionic chipset and iOS is better in tune then anything android has to offer.
But build quality is flatout wrong, I held Apple phones, Samsung ones and Xiaomi, all flagships, they all felt of equally good build quality, just depended on what you like. I for example like small phones with curved screens so my Xiaomi 12x feels best for me, but somebody might like a small phone with flat screen and thus like build of iPhones more, for example.
And then there is you saying Xiaomi is slow, this is just incorrect, my 12x feels as fast my friends iPhone 13 or S21 Ultra, if not faster in some areas (tho probably primarily because non Pro iPhones got only 60hz screens).
And less said about you calling them overpriced the better, most people who actually know what they are talking about consider Xiaomi as one of best when it comes to price to performance.

The US is the only place in the world that doesn't want to play along with the bands the rest of the worlds use. Blame your carriers and regulators, not to mention your hostile government in general. Why should Xiaomi or Vivo bother putting any effort into making US devices when they will just get banned if their market share gets big enough?

How funny need to be when you buy xiaomi 13 PRO and you think I have the most flagship phone then in May or June Xiaomi release 13 Ultra in similar price to PRO then you think my good my phone is not the most high flagship even cost me 1100 euro.. One Plus 11 give you this chance when you buy for 900 euro you know you have most important flagship for them. Where they put the best specs compare to Xiaomi.

I to am waiting for my S23 Ultra, I am done trying these crappy Chinese phones. I have a Vivo Fold that cant be used here either.

Nayr, 10 Feb 2023I've been waiting for this for a very long time, can&#... moreI've had 2 Xiaomi's and both had dumbproblems with NFC payments. I'm so tired ofit I just ordered S23 Ultra as well. If this will have problems too, then I don't know, but I have a suspicion it's some dumb Xiaomi thing. I also found a great deal. 1300€ for S23 Ultra with 12 gigs of RAM and 512 gigs of storage. Well, it's still stupid expensive, but cheap for the model it is.

I've been waiting for this for a very long time, can't wait anymore my excitement for this Xiaomi 13 pro is over. I pre-ordered S23 Ultra with a huge discount and merory upgrade.

Updates are important but many phones are fine even without them.
Imagine someone have a touch phone but lives in area with bad internet coverage for example.
Whether you install said updates or no it does not matter because phone will work anyway.
For another example next android will have no support for old apps and many people refused to install latest upcomming android 14.
So updates arent everything.
And in case of updates and security patches you cant install latest security patches without installing android version which was released before the said security patch.
