Dimensity 9200 is better because its GPU has 95% stability in stress test

            Woohoo, 09 Feb 2023The X70 Pro was the last proper Pro (with few flaws ofc) fo... moreActually, I had all 3 pro+ version (except for X80 as it does not have a + version) and made comparison with all 3;
X70 Pro+; Exceptional still shots, esp at dusk/night shots, video not that stable or good compared to the other 2, user-friendly but not on some social apps and thus my ratings as here, highest being 10. (social notif - 6, photos - 8.5, video - 7, selfie - 7.5)
X80 Pro; Exceptional video for self & adequately lit location, still shots are OK but not much different from all 3, saturation at night is obvious over X70's. Same user-friendly as the earlier. (social notif - 6, photos - 8, video - 8.5, selfie - 7.5)
X90 Pro+; Improved video but otherwise nothing much changed from X80 or X70 but slight saturation fixed over X70's/X80's. Same user-friendly as the earlier but some small improvements. (social notif - 6.5, photos - 8, video - 9, selfie - 7.5)

Personally i'd recommend X80 amongst all 3 for the balance but if u are a photo-avid user, X70 Pro or Pro+ is the way to go.

The X70 Pro was the last proper Pro (with few flaws ofc) for a wide majority imo.
It was relatively compact (almost same size as my X7 Max), had a proper quad camera with a periscope, AF on UW & a brilliant E5 screen which coupled with the efficient D1200 gave some really good battery life (which even the X80 emulated thanks to the D9000).
Sure it lacked dual speakers for whatever reason & no USB 3.1, but it gave a lot of camera in a smaller package (just like the older P40 Pro/+ & P50 Pro) at a reasonable price.
Whereas Vivo just bumped up the whole line-up subsequently & placed the X80 (non-Pro) at a similar price to the X70 Pro while having less & worse cameras, not to mention it's a giant brick with the same battery capacity!!

Dimensity has been rocking for the past 2+ years (and flagship since last year), either you've been living under a rock or don't care or didn't read up on it.
I've been using a D1200 powered phone (X7 Max) for ~1.5 yrs now & it's a brilliant "daily driver" coupled with 120Hz. Sure it won't play Genshin maxed out @ 60fps, but for most other games & especially as a daily driver it's very good!
In fact the D8100 (like on the GT Neo3) was one of the most stable & efficient sub-flagship chip last year. Think of it as a 888 but made on TSMC, great stable chip like the 870!!

For all operators in my country mobile has to be available in the stores officially to be able to register to 5g, and to have enabled VoLTE. :(

I'd like to know if the streaming apps like YouTube, Prime, Netflix supports Dolby Atmos / HDR while streaming. Also, if the dimensity chipset is optimized enough to be a proper daily driver. I'm in love with snapdragon because of how stable it is, if this chipset keeps up, I'm game.

The vivo X90 Pro is still a good smartphone, but I ended up imported the X90 Pro+ because the other gimmicks like the ultrasonic fingerprint is a nice touch, also OriginOS looks like a better OS than Funtouch

                        Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023"The X80 Pro had a sharper 1440p display" ... ... moreyes... do the math

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023I'd rather lose periscope than losing 8g2. Why? 9200 is the 2nd best cpu on android and beats the 8 gen1+ and isnt much worse than the 8 gen 2. The gpu is still going to be top notch with good hardware features and the rest of the SoC is top end from BT to signal to audio to what camera modules you can use. Id take a periscope with the 9200 over a 8gen2 with non. (if that was a choice, far better telephoto ability with a decent periscope).

                            Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023"The X80 Pro had a sharper 1440p display" ... ... moreX80 Pro = 3200 x 1440 = 4,608 MP
                            X90 Pro = 2800 x 1260 = 3,528 MP

X80 Pro has 30% higher screen resolution than X90 Pro .

This i... moreYeah, but the good thing about their phones is that the modems inside support 4G and 5G band in various countries around the world, so most of the carriers are going to work properly as if it was actually the internationa l variant of the devices.
Should you like to own one (if it remains exclusive to China), you can import and it will be just like global one. Unlike Xiaomi for example, their China-only phones have modems that do not support international bands.

Also, I've seen numerous posts about Vivo's software, their chinese counterpart works much better than global one.
