Apple Pay is going to compete head-on with Samsung Pay in South Korea

09 February 2023
Unsurprisingly, Samsung's service has been dominant so far.

I hope it fails. It would not be good for South Korea to let US companies and government control their digital payments.

This is strange. Why aren't they tar getting bigger markets? You know what I mean.

Samsung Pay was superior when they had MST on their handsets like the Galaxy S7 series. With just NFC, they're no better than Apple Pay and Google Pay.

I didn't even know Apple Pay was not available in South Korea, however Samsung Pay being the biggest there makes sense.

In my country Samsung Pay is not available, so Google and Apple reign over here.
