Oppo will not win any1 over as long as their outer screen is just as limited in functionality as the Z Flip's smaller screen. So the bigger battery on Oppo could end up not offering any more life, if it'll have to power the bigger outer screen.

This is a very appealing phone.both screens have a much better aspect ratios than z flip4.inner one is wide as a regular screen, cover display is perfectly aligned with camera viewfinder.

Only concerns are screen durability and software support.i don't hear good this about oppo's ui.

What's their warranty policy if the screen goes bad? What's the cost? Can you get it fixed locally or do you send it to China and go 2-3 weeks without a phone?

great, the employee of the month is at it again...

Yes of course, we already know that it will not come in certain European countries. Who are you kidding?

Remember. This won't be the same as Samsung's foldable.

Samsung would only apply crease less screen ONLY after it found a way to make it water resistant. IP rating and durability are still the priorities.👍

A design with gap not only makes the crease lot more visible, but also makes the phone look awkward when folded

Moto Razr when it came out had a far better design than the Z Flip. Samsung foldables are lot better on other areas like overall build, UI, OS updates etc

Anonymous, 11 Feb 20232 decades? talking about gapless fold that most makers are ... moreSamsung doing it for purpose. Creating a gapless phone is very easy peasy for Samsung. They do it purposely for 2 main reasons:

                            1. To create world first foldable phone with water resistant
                            2. To create many varieties of foldable phone cases

Samsung hold the waterdrop hinge crease less and gapless foldable since 2016.

Thanks to Samsung, now every random brands could use samsung made (and designed) foldable display to create their foldable phone👍

I'm not into it because it didn't come with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and good luck with Chinese brands when it comes to aftermarket support. ColorOS is awful from what I'm hearing. If battery degrades, places like UbreakiFix/Assurion won't fix it. I know most phones are made in China but I try to avoid most Chinese brands.

I did see a YouTuber use SamSprung on the cover display. That's cool because the default stuff looks useless as the Z Flips. I used SamSprung like a day after the apk came out for it on my Flip 3 . Wasn't called SamSprung at first. Then it stopped working after I accidentally updated to Android 12 / One UI 4 one morning.

I started using CoverScreen OS and it's nowhere near perfect. Sometimes the app won't wake up and I have to restart the phone a few times. And it had a bug that kept my cover display at turning on. But once I figured out all the customizations and swipe up gestures, it is much superior to SamSprung.

Can unlock with fingerprint and not just Bixby which needs an Internet connection. Can swipe up to go back and then swipe from the side to have screen off. Using these cover display apps/widgets can be tricky. There are still bugs in them and going back to use a different app can be confusing.

Good to see more competition in the flip phone space but N2 Flip is not for me. More interested in the Flip 5 and Razr 2023 which both should have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Motorola still makes the nicest-looking flip phones minus Razr 2022 with the most useful cover displays.

And when is it coming to the Philippines then? Oh wait, they'll continue launching bad midrange phones

This really is a good implementation to the flip form factor, front display is more useful. The Z flip line-up should take notes.

Also no IP rating in 2023??
What is this? A 1998 clamshell phone?

Looks like Oddo needs another 2 decades to reach the same level as Samsung today👍
