I'm most certainly getting one for actual real and some people are just either too salty or they can't wrap their tiny minds around it since I'm apparently this mega Apple fan despite only owning one iPhone.

I guess the S23 Ultra’s S Pen is some type of new “invention” because in the S22 Ultra and the Note series, if you inserted the S Pen backwards, your phone would be damaged after removing it.

CargoJoe, 11 Feb 2023That's a genuine question a lot of new readers would w... moreThat is very true. People who never into Samsung Note series may not know this, even if this 'new feature' already exists in my Note 3 Neo. But GSMA should just mention it in the review. This kind of info does not need to be a separate article. Though as I recall, they tend to make small info like this as an article everytime there's a new S Series announced.

It's good that it doesn't do any damage but no reason to put them next to eachother

Samsung user, 12 Feb 2023Thats why Samsung has 81% of foldable marketshare last year... moreI don't buy device for social status, I buy it for myself. It's why I don't care if it's Apple, Poco, Xiaomi, Samsung or Nokia. I could easily buy a folding phone, but I think they are just stupid and screens are just too fragile. So I rather bought S23 Ultra instead of Fold 4 or whatever folding thing. I was actually really happy with my Poco, but it's dumb small problems everywhere and somewhat lacking camera even compared to my former iPhone XR, I've decided to just call it a day, buy S23 Ultra since it's universally great phone from the looks of it and I'll just stick with it for 4-5 years just like I did with my iPhone. It has the performance, cameras are top notch and the software support is there for this long. This every 5 years or bunch of cheap phones every 2-3 years and you never really have a great experience. I haven't had a Samsung phone since Galaxy S2 which was my last Samsung phone, but from the looks of it I'm coming back. This or Apple. Chinese brands just keep disappointing me over and over. They lure you with stellar specs on paper and then disappoint you with actual device use.

Anyway they will replace the sim slot in future.

The main purpose of this phone is to show others that you have expensive popular Samsung phone. Just like pre 2007 era, when people buy Nokia communicator for the social status.
Most of people today STILL prefer separate phone and tablet devices👍

MihaiRo, 11 Feb 2023I hope Samsung will change this boring design of S Ultra se... moreInnovation not only has to do with external things like edges or shapes my friend. You won't do anything different with a new designed phone but with the same inside, if you look at the specs you can see that the rear camera quality for the S23U is now two times better, plus the 2Gen shipset and a better video quality. That is more important for me no mater the phone brand

Now they need to make inserting the sim ejector in the microphone not damage anything
Or better yet don't put the stupid sim slot next to the microphone
The S20 did it well when there was a good distance between them and then they dropped the slot to the bottom for no reason

Really, of all devices, the Galaxy Flip actually makes the most sense. It's still same wide display format, but the device, when folded is significantly smaller and it's not a big rectangular slab, despite gaining some thickness in that state. But I'm not really a fan of fragile folding displays so that's that too.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2023Can happen with everybody. I even pushed the sim ejector to... moreYeah, that happens to everyone everytime. I can't remember hitting the right hole when setting up a new phone.
One of my older phones had a mic hole smaller than the sim pin, and the paint and some aluminum around the hole got chipped away after some repeated attempts. I feel really bad when someone notices it and asks "dude what did you do to your phone". Atleast my new phone hads only internal scars.
