In an article from ZDNet Korea, it is most probable that Note III will use flexible RGB (not pentile) OLED display which gives unbreakable screen and super clear color resolution. Samsung still has hard time to mass produce the flexible RGB OLED and they hope they can mass produce the screen soon so that they can use the technology for the Note III in this fall.

S(1) = New Flagship
S2 = Huge success
S3 = Testing how big the phone that market accept
S4 = Adjust the phone size to suit market while maximize the Screen Size.
Same story to Note.
Note(1) = Test market for plablet
Note 2 = Testing how big the phone that market accept
Note 3 = Maintain the same/smaller size while maximize the screen size

Bezel, 26 Mar 2013Wow... people complain about the screen size. What's the ma... moreTiny bezel issue:
1. Cannot hold with one hand texting.
2. Pain to hold while watching video with 2 hands
3. Crack easily when drop
4. Drop easily due to bad grip
5. Misclick easily with thumb
They need to innovate more then bigger screen/thinner bezels. Stuff like touch rejection, maybe rubber grip back.

Maybe this is the first Samsung phone that I'm going to buy. There is another rumor that this phone will packed a 6.3 screen. I have a Nexus 7 and the width is 120mm, while the Note 2 is only 80mm wide. So it's not that big to hold with one hand. This phone will solved my problem, I don't have to carry a dump phone and a Nexus 7 with me all the time. I prefer a 6.3 screen if it is true. And put a Snapdragon 800 or higher clock octa-cores CPU plz.

Wow... people complain about the screen size. What's the matter when the screen size gets bigger and the bezel gets smaller? It's still portable. for example, the galaxy S4 has a bigger screen but the device itself is smaller than the S3. The same will probably be the true for the Note 3.

AnonD-127662, 25 Mar 2013The Samsung brick just gets bigger and bigger. Next Sams... more10" is way too big as a phone. In the end, it still has to fit inside pants pockets for many people, and a 5.9" phone (if it's not too much bigger than the note 2) can still comfortable fit inside non-skinny jeans pants pockets. Who cares if some people might think you look "silly" while making a traditional phone call? It's functionality that counts.

Awesome. I guess they can still make the device a couple millimeter wider and make the bezel smaller and pack in a 6,1-6,2 screen, but anything bigger would be too big for a phone so the Note series are going to stop at around 6. Don't forget that 7 inch tablets are much bigger and they couldn't really pass as big ass phones. The difference might feel like "only 1 inch" but visually it's really a huge difference. So I'm happy that the next Note will be 5.9, once we get rid of the bezels the same body could easily host a 6,2 inch screen and it'd be good if the series settled at that.

People make me laugh, they say 5" screen is way to big but samsung has made a 5" screen fit in the same size phone as the S3, people are now saying 5.9" omg way to big, but erm samsung will no doubt put the 5.9" screen in the same size phablet as the note 2.
So please tell me, what is the big deal in havin a bigger screen.
the thing is, everyone said the same thing about the S3 and the note2 but millions stil brought the devices.
people have been complaining about screens getting bigger for a few years now but still end up buying the bigger screen devices.
the same goes with the icrap, ifan always said a 4" screen is way to big, but guess what? Yes you guessed it, the ifans brought the icrap5 :/

allawi, 25 Mar 2013How you going to put this device in your pocket. What is th... moreUp to 7" can fit in a pocket.
I haven't tried any higher than that, but I don't really want to either.
I'm sure you could fit higher size screen devices in a pocket - just need to work on minimising the bezel.

I'm really enjoying the Note II and find that it performs so well compared to the original Note that it's like having a completely different phone. The Note II rocks. It loads pages and navigates applications faster than I can read. The battery lasts all day. Even with heavy use of GPS and video/camera. All day. I can't imagine what I would need in the Note III. Possibly a higher definition screen and same battery life. That would do it. Other than that I can only imagine incremental improvements.
