One thing can't be denied: this entire happening was so entertaining (for those not affected by it's fall out, and the fate of which is totally accepted to be deemed collateral damage these das), that it will be hard to be interested in the fate of twitter, once there will be a professional CEO back in charge.
Will that make twitter less hip?

Based Elon. Gave us free speech in twitter and now gonna move to other endeavours. It's impossible not to like the guy.

Why is this a surprise? Elon is a business man. Look at any private equity companies out there buying smaller start ups and companies just to sell them later. Same story.

The question is, will Elon make a profit?

He know that he IS the reason of that instability right? lmao

PareoFAN, 16 Feb 2023To see this from another perspective, now that his job is d... moreIf Elon really cares about free speech, why bother going to Twitter when there are the likes of Gab, Parler, and Truth Social in the first place?

To see this from another perspective, now that his job is done and restored the long deserved free speech on Twitter, he can finally begin to focus his attention on something else. The hero we all need, way to go Elon.

blue, 15 Feb 2023And you did what exactly?Man at least i am not robbing people.
Every single day i try to help at least 10 people.
Its my creed froma very long time ago.
My company does the same and my staff i mean employers are teached same way but some people are bit stubborn but slowly get to the way i like.
Money does not grow on the trees but every little helps.

tehyadro, 15 Feb 2023Maybe because he exposed how corrupt usa gov is? And also... moreTrump's has been the only White House to directly ask Twitter to remove posts, and Musk conveniently forgot to share that information in his "leaks."

He's also been extremely anti-free speech: banning his critics for no reason.

He will ruin Twitter. Wait and you will see. And he still thinks that he is a very unlucky man though he is super rich.

Surely the best way he can stabilise it is to step away and let someone else run it (really run it, not just spend their time second-guessing Musk as he looks over their shoulder).

The one thing he has brought to Twitter is instability.

I like that he took direct control of the company before handing it off. Really goes to show he cares for the companies under his belt that he is confident enough to take the reins, show them how it's done, then step back.

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2023what you didn't know the dark side Twitter have before... moreYou are awfully naive if you think Elon Musk bought Twitter because he want to uncover the truth. He bought Twitter to fuel his own ego that he is somehow a 'champion of free speech.'

Instead of making Twitter a platform for free speech, he has shown to the world he is equally hypocrite as those he criticised. Worse yet, he acted like a big baby when being called out for his hypocrisy.

Now, he had finally conceded his time at Twitter is ending after Tesla stockholders almost revolted against him.

It is a good idea to step down if you are the CEO of a company, the minister of a state, the prime minister, or the president of a country if the employees or the people of that country are not happy. This would be a big relief to many.
